GOP Plots to win Presidency Without a Majority Popular Vote in 2016. Here we go again: They

did it in 2000 with Al Gore, who had half a million more votes than Bush Jr. They intend
to do it again, but with a different twist this time.

Why not have some states that we barely lose do it. We never fight back. Frustrating. Oh we complain but action is a little thin.

to give the Republicans hell, and he was mocking and making fun of them while doing it.
When making a speech, someone from the audience yelled "Yeah! Give'em hell, Harry!"
He replied: "I don't need to give'em hell. All I do is tell the truth, and they think it's
hell."

Today, not too many Democrats even bother to tell the truth about what the Repubs.
are doing. (There are some exceptions, of course, like Warren, Sanders, Grayson...)
So they are continuing to get away with murder. Democratic silence encourages them.

If taken to the extremes - where reliably Democratic states go all proportional and reliably Repukelican states don't - then it's possible for a GOP win with a minority vote.

If we're going to go all proportional then it should still be a state-wide race but the electoral college votes get divided up based on a state-wide percentage. And all States would have to follow the same rules.

Or perhaps we should follow Nigeria and do it on a straight country-wide vote and the States have no say-so in the matter since it would be a federal election.
