Marco Rubio Is The Best GOP Candidate: 5 Reasons That’s Horrible

Despite his once-sane views on immigration, his pleasant demeanor, and his optimism, Marco Rubio's policies are atrocious. Possibly even more atrocious than those of his Republican competitors.

2. Marco Rubio knows that if he has a snowball's chance in hell of winning, he has to be older, meaner

Florida Hispanic young-ish

He is the perfect offset to whomever ends up with their nomination - probably Jeb.

6. He and Jeb are both from Florida

Not that that can't be fixed, but they're probably both running on their FL representation.

He probably fits better with Walker. Looking at this pre-primary-conflicts... that's the pair that worries me the most.

People very close to each have serious corruption problems - Caveat, I don't know how serious Rubio's are, but they sound sleazy - http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2015/03/scandals-marco-rubio-has-escaped

I don't think Jeb accepts a VP slot so it's nomination or nothing for him. Rubio fits in as VP for anyone else is, I guess, what I meant.

Walker & Rubio? Yes it's a fit but they are going to look awfully young to a lot of voters.

4. I'm sure you meant winning the Nomination, because there is no possible way I see him

beating Hillary. But I think it narrows her choices of VP down...a Hispanic. Julian Castro. (Sorry if I post about him too much...but his Grandmother was a Dreamer and his Mother has been both poor and lower class, but made certain her boys had every opportunity that neither she nor her mother had. I encourage everyone to Google Julian, Joaquin and Rosie Castro)

5. This is the primary, and he has to beat Republicans for a chance at the golden ring.

He is not going to be facing Hillary Clinton, or anyone else, as the nominee.

I don't think he is a good match for VP.

Jeb would not pick another Floridian.

Cruz would not put him in there because Cruz will pick a Corporate WASP type as VP. Think Rick Santorum. (Cruz is a much better choice for VP because he is ideologically pure and appeals to the Religious right.)

Rand Paul doesn't have the backing of Corporate leadership so he will not win, no matter how fast he runs from interviews.

I don't have a good enough bead on the other possible Republicans at the moment.

My rule when considering who will get a Republican nomination, is to look for who they think will appeal to centrists and independents. Extremists bring a lot of flash and fire, but Republicans tend to nominate the person they think will most appeal to independents.

7. I noted that, but their candidates are already running against her, and certainly the Republicans

must field someone ultimately that they think can beat her. They don't have anyone, IMO. It's almost sad or gallows humor about the Republican Party these days.

And you are right on about the Independents...for both candidates...which is why I thought Hillary's Introduction was Right On.

Sucks to be a Republican these days...after all those Tea Party heydays. Now if the Democrats can resist that kind of rancor, we'll be OK this time around.
