have a "feel-good" moment (not exactly the term, but in the general area; not sure how to put it).

But then, they said that Arnold was a REAL candidate, not a goofy "celebrity" candidate to be put in place to get the crowds out to throw out a legally-elected person ...

you had the "Republicans" wanting desperately for a win, with the energy companies willingly manipulating the rolling blackouts, and more than enough "moderates" who wanted to elect another celebrity, because it was "neat" ...
