2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumIf you really want Bernie to win, you might want to make the case FOR Bernie
and move past the Hillary bashing, if that is what you find yourself doing.
I am pretty sure I am voting for Bernie and probably supporting him. However, I do in fact want to see him prove out some at this level, see if he can get some wind in his sails. See some good polling that shows he is a viable candidate.
Hillary is OK. Not great.
But, not even CLOSE to being as bad as people make her out to be.
I find myself reflexively pulling back from Bernie when I read the Hillary bashing here. There is more than enough Hillary bashing from republicans, and it rings as hollow from Bernie supporters as it does from them. This really makes it hard to get behind him.
Now, doubtlessly, there are going to be the bizarre I KNOW YOUR REAL INTENTION replies.
But, you might want to ask yourself, are you HELPING him by snarking at Hillary, condescending people for being sell outs or what not? Is that bringing people TO HIM?
OR, would you do more good for him by engaging people in POSITIVE discussions and promoting him in an affirmative manner?
I am nobody in the big scheme of things. However, I do outreach in my precinct, people know me and if I put a Bernie sign out it will get a few votes his way. And, there are A LOT of people LIKE me.
THIS is politics. You want to get the broader support Bernie needs to actually make a run at the nomination, you are NOT getting it by railing on how bad Hillary Clinton is.

It is much more satisfying to be/prove one's opposition than one's support ... no one listens to cheers of support.
Very good advice!

I would love to hear someone make the case for Hillary. It would be much better than being called a troll, a republican, a hater, etc.
