Hillary criticizes GOP Field while commending the high court: electrifies the crowd with mocking remarks
Hillary R. Clinton criticized her Republican presidential contenders due to their objections regarding the Supreme Court’s decision in sanctioning the rule on gay marriage. She also acclaimed the stricter gun laws following the Charleston mass shooting.
Hillary Clinton revived a massive crowd of Virginia Democrats on Friday night with piercing assaults on her Republican rivals and branded them as the party of the past. At George Mason University’s Patriot Center that accumulated about 2,000 Democrats, applauding with delight as Clinton charted her priorities and made mocking remarks, highly criticized the Republicans in her long speech. With Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) dragging massive crowds in the recent weeks and appearing to be a sturdy rival against her in the process, Clinton on Friday demonstrated that she also holds the aptitude in stirring an audience. Mrs. Clinton kept arguing continuously for “common sense” gun control measures since the shooting took place last week. Republican-led House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday issued a vote contrary to the amendment which would have provided an increased funding to the Centers of Disease Control in investigating gun violence sought the attention of Hillary. http://www.benchmarkreporter.com/hillary-criticizes-gop-field-while-commending-the-high-court-electrifies-the-crowd-with-mocking-remarks/5619/

1. The Gay marriage decision, Hillary and Bernie's position, vs GOP is supposed to shed light on
how important it is to elect ANYBODY but GOP.

2. I hope to hell so.
![]() Sadly I know people who identify as Republican-- although they seem to feel a little lost given what they have to work with. |

6. What was *NOT* mentioned is that the VA Democrats had to literally get people to show up
by giving away tickets for free.
On a venue with a capacity of 10,000 - only 2,000 (their best estimate) showed up. Bernie can fill that up, VERY easily, and excite and empower the Democratic Party as true progressives, not as "Real Democrats" |

7. Yeah I read about that in the Business Insider
Clinton's campaign did not respond to a request for comment about the Jefferson-Jackson dinner, but Virginia Democratic Party Communications Director Stephen Carter told Business Insider that this year's event raised more money than it ever has before. The dinner is taking place in the 10,000-seat Patriot Center at George Mason University.
Carter said it sold "over 2,000 tickets and raised over $1 million." He attributed Republicans' negative comments about the event to concern over the party's fundraising prowess. "It's no surprise that Republicans are terrified of Democrats' tremendous grassroots energy," Carter said. "Tonight is energizing Democrats from every corner of our commonwealth and we're ready to work hard to take back the Senate in 2015 and win the White House in 2016." 8. Can Bernie walk away from any rally
with $1,000,000 for the state Democratic Party? This wasn't a rally, it was a seated fundraising dinner. The attendees donated an average of $500.00 each.
If Sanders wants to run with the resources and funds of the Democratic Party, let him go and do likewise. |
