(7,321 posts)this worked well.. very glad to have caught it in time. it was pretty damn good speech. down thread I wondered out loud if Russ Feingold might be in the crowd, since it's his state, and golly gee, Citizens United right?.. so some one couldn't wait to assert that Feingold is in NY backing HRC.
Disappointing if true, given I had thought I had recognized an authentic and principled character in Feingold.

Also she predicts the surge will continue.

(24,689 posts)I think Bernie has a big problem with minorities. It will really begin to show in the southern states.

Maybe you should have listened to his speech and heard what he said about the politics of division.

Check out the POC for Bernie facebook group perhaps, I could point out more, but frankly I think your 'concern' is not really about who supports Bernie....

(56 posts)Denver, Bernie's visit, garnered 6,000+ people, which up until today, was the largest town hall meeting/rally.
I also know that Bernie has gotten about 3,000 in Las Vegas. It continues to grow.
You are very much sorely mistaken on your assumptions and theories on how Bernie's peak is. I got news for you, pal - Bernie just barely started. His upside is unlimited and hasn't peaked yet. Clinton, on the other hand, has been running since 1992, has 100% national recognition, and how is her favorables? Polls show her favorables aren't as high as one would find in a Democratic President.
Has anyone analyzed Bernie's favorables?
Oh, and one other question I have for Clinton supporters: Where does she stand on income inequality?

I think we will see a significant jump.

(8,175 posts)a pardon and a cleared record for everyone in jail now for a minor drug possession. Even if it was their "3rd" time that made them go to jail...especially if all their crimes were minor, non aggressive drug busts.
We need to turn these kids/adults, especially if of color, and give them a chance in today's society, without a felony hanging over their head and preventing them from getting decent jobs.

Thank you so much for clearing this up, I almost wasted a bunch of time and money trying to elect someone who won't sell my children's future to the Oligarchy. Thanks again! I'm gonna go see if Hillary has tweeted anything more about fighting for the working class.....

(13,059 posts)The thing I admire about Bernie more than anything else is his candor and honesty. There is no beating around the bush with him. He says exactly what he thinks and exactly what he will do when elected. Contrast that with some of the other weasels who are running.
His voice did sound kind of rough presumably from speaking so much. I hope he can take care of that. We need him to have a strong clear voice even if it means taking a day or two off to heal.

(24,010 posts)And a voice that is strong but not mesmerizing. He is so-o-o-o-o-o unlike our typical politicians. No airbrushing. Very little or no image-management. It's a remarkable experience just looking at this seemingly ordinary, older man, and listening to WHAT HE HAS TO SAY!
It's...what is the word...
