I don't think this is going to be quite the issue the GOP want it to be. I think this will just be a fundraising tool for them.

Voted for it

I am so angry at what has happened to the Democratic party

When I see them talking about "compromising" on social security and Medicare it makes me sick

If the public was educated from the beginning people may not only be for it but actually support single payer.

6. People like the individual provisions, just not "Obamacare."

When asked if they're in favor of coverage of kids to age 26 and coverage regardless of pre-existing conditions, etc., etc., people say "yes" by big majorities. But when asked if they like "Obamacare," not so much.

Let's face it, most people don't even know what the law entails; they just know what Fox News tells them is bad about it.

at least insofar as most people either support the current law or want to see it expanded (though it is hardly ever reported that way). Only that diehard teabagger segment of the population want to see the law and/or any attempts to achieve universal health coverage for Americans scrapped completely. People also like most of the individual provisions of the law except for the mandate- though given that most people want to have some kind of insurance coverage (as long as it is affordable) and/or already have coverage, I don't really understand why being required to have some kind of health coverage gets people all riled up. With some people it's as though the government telling people should have some form of health insurance coverage is the height of tyranny.

8. I have supported Obama's health insurance reform, but I have a lot of questions

about just how they are going to save so much money on Medicare.

We asked our congressman about this, but he couldn't seem to give us an answer.

Does anyone on DU know what changes are in store for Medicare?

So far, I don't see any changes for the worse, but I cannot understand how they can save so much money on the reforms with regard to Medicare.
