That going and showing solidarity was important to them they should do it and fuck the accusations of opportunism.

In her address to the police union, Lynch voiced unequivocal support for law enforcement as she sought to reassure officers that she understood the challenges that they face. She praised them for running toward danger when others head in the other direction and for "working to maintain the peace."

She recalled a visit to a third-grade classroom in Cincinnati, where a boy said he aspired to be a police officer "because they are the peacemakers."

"Thank you for being the peacemakers," Lynch said.

make a visit more of a burden than an asset to a community. 'Course the folks in Ferguson may feel differently.

when MLK was assassinated. He calmed the crowd.

He was there by chance, but he did the right thing. The city did not burn.

How about if it was not either, or? What if all three went together? Who cares that they are vying for the same spot on the ticket? This might be a time for unity.

They could ask for security, or share arrangements, if that is worrisome to people. Hillary has Secret Service protection already.

Unity in the face of the onslaught of our enemies would be an amazing site to see. The American people would respect us for standing on our principles.

They are all in the same party. Bobby Kennedy did not ask anyone's permission.

LBJ was a lame duck. Biographies of Johnson claim that he despised Bobby. LBJ might have been jealous of Bobby's intervention when it happened, even though it saved lives.

The analogy is not perfect, but Bobby could have been accused of politicizing, too.

And if the repubbies accuse them of politicizing, who cares?

I could be very wrong about this. I think someone running for office was in Missouri and stayed away from Ferguson to avoid politicizing. I don't remember the details.

it would be a tremendous show of solidariy and a suspension of the primary bloodbath. if they go piecemeal, it might look like pandering, even if that is not the intent.

i imagine there could be security concerns as well.

This is a serious problem.
