(16,974 posts)Looks like very small crowd with almost more media than constituents. Now staged questions as they are calling on people by name. One of the many reasons I do not support her in the primaries.

(41,832 posts)Harkin knows the local news people and Hillary knows most of the national press.
SOme of the questions were pointed on the verge of rude actually.

(16,974 posts)Too bad she refuses to do the soap box. Her campaign does not want any risks. Too bad, makes her look bad in my opinion.

(7,028 posts)at the "reporter" who asked, "Is the reason you locked in Tom Harkin's endorsement because you were concerned about the possibility of Al Gore or Joe Biden getting in the race?"
You see--she threatened to turn Tom Harkin into a newt.
All questions to Hillary are planted. And the answer that Tom Harkin gave was scripted. Mmmm Hmmm... Fake hug, too. Mmmm Hmmm...
She really has a great smile, doesn't she?
Good answers too. Very Presidential.

(22,878 posts)He is beloved by Iowa Democrats make no mistake about that. While I wish he had endorsed Martin O'Malley.. it does not diminish one iota how important his endorsement is with Iowa Democrats who go to caucus

(7,028 posts)that Hillary was doing everything right in Iowa. That the "timing" of his endoresment had to do with his being busy and what better time than the Iowa State Fair.
I give O'Malley the favorite for VP should Hillary win the nomination. The hint being that she sat in the audience during his speech at the dinner last night. So much nuance in that.
