Hillary seems a bit condescending in this clip

New video has emerged from inside a tense and uncomfortable closed-door meeting between Hillary Clinton and members of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Is the very candid cellphone video exposing a fracture between the Democratic Presidential candidates and one of their core constituencies?

A racist is a racist.

A homophobe is a homophobe.

A mysogynist is a mysogynist.

What we need is a system that makes it clear why those beliefs are wrong, and doesn't empower people who hold them.

And all the people that keep saying "huh?" are the same people that slammed Bernie unmercifully when BLM confronted him at Netroots. They are so "in love" with Hillary, they refuse to see the truth about her. We make fun of the RWNJs all day long for doing the same thing.

I am not trying to convince any Hillary supporters to vote for Bernie. It's a lost cause, as stated above - they are blinded to the truth. I do however like posting things for my fellow Berniacs to enjoy.

I fully expect to be alerted on by a bunch of Hillarites for telling the truth as I see it. I've had 2 posts hidden by 4-3 margins in the last week which only could have happened if there were 4 Hillary supports on the jury. The alert/jury system is being abused by these people and I hope someone does something about it soon.

"The sky will open up and celestial choirs will sing" speech, in which she also sounds condescendingly sarcastic and gestures in a way similar to the way she does in this clip.

This is crossposted from that thread:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1251&pid=532912

Her outsized gestures were awfully aggressive body language for such a close space, especially since her finger pointing gestures were right up in her interlocutor's face, and they were aggressively relentless, too, as was her tone.

Then, when she threw her hands in the air, I was reminded of the 2007 speech in which she mocked the idea of "The sky . . . open<ing> up" and angelic choirs singing if she were to drop out of the race and throw her support to Obama. The sequence is from 0.45-1.08 in this video:

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="
?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

She sounds bombastic and sarcastic--and rather overwrough--in this old video, just as she does when talking to BLM in the OP video, especially since the man she is talking to is so soft spoken and polite.

Another DUer says all Bernie does is lecture, but I see not just lecturing, but hectoring, in the way Hillary speaks to the man in this BLM video.

Body language: when she's nodding it means, "hurry and finish, I know what I'm going to say, I can't hear you."

And, her sassy reply that she'll just talk to white people then is, indeed, really insulting and a form of blaming the victim, the questioner.

That's a discussion stopper right there.

And her solution? More laws?

You can't legislate compassion and empathy, you have to cultivate that.

Hillary is not a sit down and talk type. That does not mean she is a bigot, but it does mean that he has not managed to work on her people skills. Honestly,as much as I hate to say it, she needs to do two things FAST:

One:get Bill to join her, and actually be careful of dog whistles..Obama is gone, no need to appeal to the people that like those. But Billy has the charm Hillary does not.

Two: Name her VP asap, and make sure that person can help with the charm offensive. Cory Booker can help.

The racists are the people killing the young black men, yelling slurs as people of color walk down the street, and committing hate crimes.

Those aren't our potential nominees.

The deeper we get into this nomination process the more I am convinced that Hillary Clinton simply won't make it.

You can't change hearts and apparently you can't teach an old dog new tricks (that is just an expression, okay?) -- Hillary is a terrible campaigner; she is awful when she tries to be sarcastic; and she isn't much good at press conference or in one-on-ones. She hasn't learned how to be a better candidate since 2008 ... if anything she is worse.

Being a 'grandma' is not enough.

I'm starting to seriously think (not just hope anymore) that Mrs. Clinton is going to take a fall somewhere early in the process and fade-away or have to quit.
