(62,325 posts)not worried about it, as it is backfiring massively, so it would be better for Hillary if her supporters didn't encourage it, and if Hillary herself were to condemn it, as Bernie does when SHE is attacked. But it is is what it is, and I'm fine with these dirty tricks because the public is sick of them and they are reacting to them with nothing but disgust.
Not to mention how damaging the whole thing has been for a LEGITIMATE movement in case anyone has been following that. Which is why I find it despicable to play the RACE CARD. The Right Wing is now picking up on the whole thing and it has become a real problem for BLM.
But that is how you know who is sincere about the issue itself and who is not. Not that we did not know in the first place.

(30,058 posts)Hillary or her supporters or even the Republicans is pushing the BLM issues. A link supporting the theory is not proof.

(22,871 posts)a civil rights group never really happened, regardless of how many black non Hillary supporters claim it does. Both Elon James White and Imani Gandy are still being attacked daily.

(6,409 posts)Ferraro was the first woman to be nominated as a vice presidential candidate by either of the two major parties. "If Ferraro were a white man, she would not be in this position... country is caught up in the concept." How's that sound, Gerry? How do you like it when some of that crap you're throwing comes back your way? Yeah, there are plenty of people who insist your only qualification for being the VP nominee was that you were female. That's pretty ignorant, isn't it? Might want to think about that before you start grousing about the most successful president we've had in many years.

(45,319 posts)and all over DU and elsewhere. In that other thread I posted a few examples of strong criticism of LGBT activists and of disruptive tactics posted by people who are now taking the opposite stance, they totally support disruptive activists AND they strongly criticize anyone who might criticize them.
I see, every day on DU, people who said LGBT activists were working for the right wing, were fools, trolls and bigots saying that anyone who says those things about straight activists is a Nazi.
Hypocrites stink up the room. They just do.
Thinkingabout
(30,058 posts)who has endorsed her, 15 former members who has endorsed her, O'Malley has one endorsement and Bernie has zero. BTW this is current information not eight years ago.
You linked to a nytimes article which featured Geraldine Ferraro, the video is not Geraldine Ferraro, bad information.

(31,849 posts)I said this before ... The fact that Bernie has yet to secure a single peer endorsement ... not even from among the Progressive Caucus ... should speak volumes.
There is a reason organizations conduct reference checks ... and the state of the reference check art includes (and weighs more) talking to the potential employees peers, especially if the position requires working with others.

(16,286 posts)if you are not white and want to vote in Georgia after President Walker appoints another SC justice who joins the others and kills all voting rights and civil rights.
So if you are in line to vote (since we did not support whoever the Democratic candidate was and a republican took the WH) and you are white, you vote, if you are Black, you have to answer this question and if you can answer it correctly, you get to vote:
"What is the square root of 4,569,908 divided by the pie of zero times the infinite number 17 times 12?"
I dont know anything about math so that question probably makes no sense, but you get the point.
Keep the Clinton bashing coming, pretty soon if it is done right and she is the candidate, she will have no chance of winning and this future will come to pass.

(40,037 posts)But Ms. Ferraros comments dominated the day. Reached at her home in Manhattan on Tuesday evening, she said that, in her original remarks, she was asked why there had been so much excitement about Mr. Obamas candidacy. And I said, I think part of it is because hes black, she said. People are excited about this historic candidacy. I am, too.
