In the beginning, it was nice to see creative dialog about the Republican and Democratic candidates.
Now, it's just a morass of "My candidate is better than your candidate!" OPs, needing its own playground.
We're generally democrats who are, for the most part, aligned with one candidate or another. Yet, there is this incessant hard-selling in some of the OPs that try to talk smack about other candidates or prop up the poster's candidate. Instead of posting titles that indicate it's a "My candidate is better than yours" OP, they are coming in with "OMG!," "What the heck?," "You're not going to believe this!," and other attention grabbers just to get people to click--only to find it's just a click-bait ad or denigration of one candidate or another.
Can the Primary & Candidate threads be moved into its own special tab to spare the rest of us from this crossfire?

(23,664 posts)As a matter of fact, you're posting in it right now.
Sorry, i'm not seeing the problem here.

This is the upper tab, where Home, Latest Threads, Greatest Threads, Forums & Groups, etc. reside.
It's getting tiresome to see the devolution of the posts into what looks like playground squabbles.
I'm interested in more relevant things, with regards to politics, not just bickering and oneupmanships.

(23,664 posts)you would still see the contentious threads that you are objecting to.
I don't believe they want to keep us from ever viewing the latest thread titles.
Unless or until they do what you have asked, a good rule of thumb is avoid the GD
rimaries like the plague.

The various politics and candidate groups can be assigned to this new tab and blocked from Latest Threads.
That's just it, while there are few dozen heavy political posters, most like other content as well. The political noise drowns them out.
Perhaps it wouldn't be bad if people didn't use one vague attention grabbers to drive a click, masking the objective of the post until a person actually clicks on the link, but since a few here do that, it just becomes an "Oh, another flame article or candidate ad."
Unfortunately, to avoid the GD
rimaries, means not using the "Latest Threads" tab, and doing it manual.

(11,641 posts)and on that page choose to trash this forum from the options at the top and use the hide threads option.
You can still visit GD: Primary by using the link on the left but it will no longer show up in latest threads etc.
Not sure if that is close enough to what you'd like to have done but it is an option that exists.
