2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThe Democratic Machine Supports Hillary But...
Us Sanders supporters don't trust the machine. We don't trust
the corrupt media, and their "steering" of the debate. Don't expect
the "media" to cover Bernie's platform even though 99% of Americans
agree with it. We need to overwhelm the pro-corporate media, and
organized power structures with bodies.

Hillary, Trump, Hillary, Trump, Hillary, Trump, Hillary, Trump.
And once in a while a "pundit" mentions how un-electable Bernie is.
It makes me sick.
I don't like the relentless bs attacks on Hillary, or Democrats
as a whole by attacking Hillary, but the total blackout by
the press of Bernie's message is sickening.
Bernie has been fighting for my family his whole career. He never had to change
positions or "evolve" because his heart has been right the while time from civil
rights, to gay marriage, to the war in Iraq.
I trust Bernie to make the right decisions, not just give the whole cake to Wall
Street planning on a few crumbs will fall off on the masses.
When did Hillary say the banksters should be prosecuted?
(crickets chirping)
When did Hillary say something like Bernie said on the Ed Show?
"SANDERS: Yes. Significantly, also, you have the six largest
financial institutions have assets of over $9 trillion, which is the
equivalent of two-thirds of the assets -- equivalent to two-thirds of the
assets of GDP of the United States of America.
So stop for a minute. When you have institutions that large,
JPMorgan Chase, over $2 trillion, while some will say, we`re never going to
bail them out again, right? We`re going to let them fail -- I don`t think
that`s the case. That`s the danger, when they`re that big, if they go
under, with they will be bailed out again.
Number two, if Teddy Roosevelt was alive right now and saw that the
top six banks provided half the mortgages in America and two-thirds of the
credit cards, what do you think a good Republican like Teddy Roosevelt
would have said?"
You trust Hillary or any Republican to break up the banks?
Gimmee a break.

"Bernie has been fighting for my family his whole career ..he hasnt had to change"
The exact same thing can be said about her...lets take just a little look at the record shall we?
....you do know she was the first to introduce Universal Healthcare...right? Oh and a little thing called SCHIP you and your family can Thank her for that......oh yeah and HRC has been fighting for women's issues ever since she gave that speech, decades ago to the U.N. Council on Women......pisding off Republican Establishment of the time....thar Speech is where we got the phrase "Women's Rights are Human Rights".....oh and do you remember another phrase she pissed off Republicans with..."It takes a village"....the name of a book she wrote ABOUT raising children.....or you know...otherwise known as families!
So no....Bernie has NOT got the market cornered on WHO has been trying to help your family.....point of FACT she has even seen at least one of them actually implemented.
Lets not forget she has been in the public eye her entire career......the American public know HER very well I would say....and apparently contrary to your belief.....they seem to know who they want.
Just "knowing" Bernie is not going to shake thier understanding that SHE has had thier backs all along....contrary to the false narrative Sanders fans are so desperate a picture to paint about her.....hell even Bernie himself disagrees with your assessment of her. ...and unlike you... HE knows her personally....and actially likes her.
If you think Bernie is going to go all postal on Clinton...you have another think coming....thats just not going to happen....she is not this devil incarnate you have convinced yourself she is...

She STILL has a 74 % chance to his 12% ???? Apparently she is not "losing" as hard as you seem to think she is...she is doing great....no reason for her to adopt Sanders or anyone else's platform.....she is far ahead of the field.....a race that is hers to win ir lose. She is pacing herself for the long haul. Just like a marathon runner would. She is running against her own "best time"...not the other candidates!
No one is buying this narrative that she is losing at all....facts and figures just do not bear that out.

Infact that is WHY he has such low odds...because of his chances with those 3 demographics...the same odds O'Malley has I might add....

(12,958 posts)Women and POC do not share a hive mind that you control, sorry.
If you believe you can fool all POC, Latinos and Women into voting against their own best interest, then you just keep holding onto that fantasy.
Have you ever considered her winning on issues? I know it's a novel thought to Hillary supporters anymore. Seems throwing stink bombs, spewing strawmen, attacking his supporters, having her ex campaign manager rig the election, tricking people into voting against their own best interest, shielding him from media exposure, etc etc is the winning strategy. ANYTHING but the issues. I say, good luck with that!
You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all POC and Women all of the time, sorry to disappoint you.

(17,196 posts)Gallup released a new national poll on Friday after surveying 1,000 independent and democratic voters.
Bernie Sanders favorability has improved seven points since the last poll was released on July 24. Hillary Clintons national favorability is at its lowest point since 1992.
Clintons favorability with the America public has sunk to one of its lowest levels in Gallups 23-year trend.
According to the poll, 51 percent of national adults hold an unfavorable view of Clinton, yet her favorability among independent and democratic voters remains steady at 74 percent. Bernie Sanders favorability has improved from 39 to 46 percent.
Clintons email scandal continues to slowly diminish her image while Sanders is gaining on her inch by inch.
