Why no Democratic Primary Debate yet?

I just noticed CNN is hosting another clown-car debate for the GOP candidates. Why no Democratic primary debates? I feel like we are missing out and that this is disadvantageous to any candidate beside Clinton. The worst part is the GOP talking points are getting much more attention than the Democratic ones. ALL of our candidates have far better platforms and ideas than anyone on the GOP ticket...

1. It is to protect Hillary's cushion.

There is no other plausible explanation.

And now that HIllary has said she'd be open to more, it is up to her to make it happen. Sander and O'Malley will attend a debate if HIllary makes herself available.

The DNC would not exclude all the candidates for violating its arbitrary exclusivity rule.

Ultimately, I think it will be a disadvantage for her, too.

The whole debate scheme is really short-sighted.

4. Half the number of candidates = Fewer debates necessary.

There are less than half the number than there was in 2008.

They will have longer to speak at each debate.

8. Fine, let's have them already. No need to wait until mid-October, execpt to benefit the frontrunner.

The clown car debates are making them look like the clowns they are.

We will show off our talent in one month and it will diminish the clowns.

10. It allows the GOP to be the story sucking all the oxygen. They are already setting the frame.

The Dems are just poking along as background noise with the only story being HIllary's email problems. I'd much prefer the issues WE discuss be front and center as early as possible.

He was bashed all summer by the swift-boaters, while his campaign said exactly what you just said. No thanks. This is why I'm uneasy about waiting.

Commercials that are well-scripted with lots of flags and noble looks and groovy music that only show cheering crowds.

Protect Hillary's cushion while allowing mega-buck financed commercials more time to solidify public perceptions.

There is no good or valid reason for putting off the debates, it will only serve to damage the American People.

The DNC has no real faith that Clinton's argument will resonate with the people and they're all too afraid that Bernie's and/or other candidates' messages will.

They're afraid that real time, national rebuttal from the other candidates will greatly shift the polls in favor of Bernie and possibly the other candidates.

Schultz wants the corporate media to continue blacking out stories and articles of critical issues affecting the American Peoples' lives, in favor of focusing on personalities, without debates bringing the issues to the front and center, the corporate media has more breathing room to do so.

In short it's part of a strategy to dumb the American People down.

Thanks for the thread, bernie_mccoy.
