2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHas Hillary 7.3 been shelved?
Just a few days ago we read that Team Hillary was in the midst of spontaneity rehearsals.
Now we read that she's going after "values" voters. Did I mishear? Or will she spontaneously court "values" voters? Or were the spontaneity scripts subpar?
I can't keep track of it all.

(13,685 posts)All those high-priced campaign people arguing amongst themselves as to who is the king of the Hill. Each trying to prove they are most worthy!
I feel their pain.
Meanwhile, Bernie's campaign knows from experience and from the history, that all they have to do is get the word out. No problems there.
GitRDun
(1,846 posts)I will sleep better tonight knowing everything is as it should be on DU...Bernie's camp is full of experienced professionals getting the word out while Camp Hillary remains full of evil little nerdy gnomes bent on destruction of the free world.
Thanks again. DU (or is it officially BU yet?) has come to give me that certainty of brand performance I expect with all my consumer products.

(13,685 posts)Bernie's campaign is on message, convincing ever more people to support Bernie as seen by his rising poll numbers, and has there even been one Sander's TV ad yet?
Meanwhile Hillary version 7.3 is still trying to work out the bugs as their numbers decline.
IOW, Bernie's camp knows how to Git 'er Done, and the Hillary camp is, well, looks like, over done.

(13,685 posts)The whole point of the thread and Manny's erudite exposing of the problems of the Hill camp was to reach folks like you so that you are not deluded into supporting a bad campaign. Evidently we have succeeded. We got 'er dun.
GitRDun
(1,846 posts)I am so glad you've taught me what to think..I do have problems thinking for myself...
You're so very kind.
RobertEarl
(13,685 posts)You said as much. Or were you just jerking chains?
I'm sorry, I take this seriously and do desire to educate. If you are not serious, that's okay, just be careful about when you really are confronted with someone who actually, y'know, just wants to git 'er done, and get Bernie elected.
GitRDun
(1,846 posts)I appreciate the well-intentioned thoughts though.
Bernie can do it, he's got a lot of work to do, but it definitely can be done.

was floated during the 2008 caucuses. When Obama began rising in the polls, a nice little meme was floated in the media--that it didn't matter if Obama won the primary because the Superdelegates had all ready pledged their support for Obama.
What a shitty tactic.
Hillary's way of taking her "inevitability" to a pathological level.
I don't think it was ever in question that the Superdelegates would follow the will of the people, but the Hillary campaign tried everything to demoralize voters into following her by suggesting that no matter what--she would win.
I will be anxious to see if they try this ploy again.
