Ben Carson is an intelligent slime ball sophisicatingly twisting reality. I see how he is climbing.

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Raine1967 (a host of the 2016 Postmortem forum).

Ben Carson was just on The View insulting anyone who is not of his view.

First on the calculation of the unemployment rate, he calmly remarked with seemingly disdain that this administration has cooked the books. It seems to be a Republican talking point of late. If so than it must still be lower than before the hit our economy took under Bush. I wonder how the rate was determined then.

When asked about his comparison of ACA to slavery, he said that it was government imposed and rammed down our throats.
This is so twisted when so many could not afford insurance and many who could not get insurance. They were suffering and dying.

Hoping to correct and improve there condition and giving multitudes of options is ,to me, the opposite of slavery.

This man is a frightening combination of self made accomplished professional and cold hearted know it all with a base of wrong data.

partitioned and dysfunctional/delusional, like he was totally isolated from the reality of the world and facts. What is even more scary are the damn ignorant no-nothing fools flocking to his side.

Not just republicans:

EBONY.COM: You brought up unemployment, which is a major concern for African Americans. What are your plans to help Blacks, whose jobless numbers are disproportionately high?

SEN. SANDERS: First let me mention that the current statistics are not really legitimate. The problem is actually a lot worse. The official unemployment rate today in America is at 5.1 percent but that does not include people who have given up looking for work or those who are working 20 to 25 hours a week when they need to work 40 hours a week. If you add those people, the real unemployment rate in the nation is more like 10.3 percent and you can usually double that for African Americans.

Racism is thick in this country and it is used to hold power. I see more power when all are included. Funny how they can't see it.

I can't post links on the pad for some reason. This is a big talking point on the right.

Google it - qz.com has a good explanation of it. There are others too. Carson is full of crap but he has to be to run in the Republican Party.
