ONE MORE TIME: Why doesn't McCain just prove Reid is wrong?

McCain has 22 years of returns. He knows the answer. Yes or no?

On Edit: screwed up and said "Gingrinch" originally. My bad.

McCain knows what's in them and he's probably kept his trap shut to avoid being called out on it. There's got to be something REALLY bad if he thought Palin was a better candidate!

On Edit: Thanks for picking that up rfranklin. Dumb mistake.

Know this: Romney's behavior has tipped his own hand.

He would have released the returns and avoided the drubbing he is getting if he were innocent of all charges. He would have done it years ago.

Instead, he is covering up, and the cover-up always conceals a larger crime or indiscretion.

So the only question now is whether Mitt is guilty of something that will end his political career (it has to be that big because he is risking the Presidency by refusing to disclose), or if Mitt is guilty of something actually criminal in nature (which would be more in keeping with the size of the risk he is taking).

Or both. Romney may have been a tax felon who took advantage of the 2009 amnesty program.

But the one thing he ain't is innocent, and that is proven by Mitt's cover-up.

If this were a court of law the judge would have instructed the jury to assume that because Mitt refuses to release the evidence that could exonerate him, the unseen documents are to be included as evidence against him.

We can and should do the same.

Surely there's a law against those kinds of disclosures.

McCain, whose 2008 presidential campaign reviewed Romney's tax records as they considered him to be the vice presidential running mate, said last month he can "personally vouch" that there was "nothing disqualifying" in the tax returns of the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.

That may be why McCain would not do it. If Reid really does have a source that source has committed a felony.

He left it to his "team". I bet Steve Schmidt would know way more. McCain was oddly detached throughout the 2008 Campaign.
