That took content from the internet(blog posts, tweets, comments on places like DU) and using some fancy maths determined the hostility level of the message, it started out just determining the subject of the content, and whether or not the message was written from a positive or negative perspective against that subject, and eventually the end goal was to use it to determine potential threats to national security and help fight against terrorists. I left way before it got to that point but I'm pretty sure its way more sophisticated at this point.

Long story short, I've often considered whipping up a script to do the same for this forum just to see what the numbers look like. For as few Hillary supporters as there are here, the number of negative Bernie posts seems to be equal if not greater than the number of Hillary ones. Having the numbers to prove it would punch a lot of holes in some of the misinformation floating around about Bernie supporters and supposed nonstop vitriol towards Hillary.

end to as soon as we replace those funded by that money with Politicians who ARE NOT FOR SALE.

That money attracts some pretty unprincipled, shady characters into our electoral system, willing to spread lies and deceptions and preach their non principled agendas in an effort to justify their lack of a moral core. David 'Blinded by the Money' Brock is a perfect example of the shady characters all that money has enriched over the years, willing to jump from side to side, wherever the money is offered.

Ordinary people do not repeat memes that have been corrected. And anyone expressing 'concern' over a candidates position on an issue, will lose that 'concern' once it is explained that there is no truth to what has caused that concern.

Talking point pushers ignore such information and keep on pushing and repeating those expensive talking points.

When that money is out of our system, these shady organizations, think tanks etc will have nothing to 'work' for and that will vastly improve the political dialogue in this country.

Which is why it is a top issue in this campaign, because it is so damaging to our democracy.

..in large numbers, he won't have as many tea-baggers to put up with. At least that's the intention. If the base-and then some, are out in big numbers, we could turn around some fairly important races. Heard some talking head on MSNBC say Dem's could get Senate back (Sam Stein from Huff-Po?) The House? Not sure how many seats we need. I'll just say a bunch.

trips up there from Massachusetts. Church St was always an interesting place to visit.
Some of my trips were just day trips where I'd leave Ma at 4:30 or 5:00in the morning.
Without fail, when I needed to make time to make a meeting on time, on those beautiful mountainous stretches of two lane highway in VT a car would pull out of the slow right lane into the fast left lane and drive at a steady 45 or 50 for 50 or 60 miles. That car would invariably be a Volvo with VT plates The combination of the cadence of the traffic and grade of the highway made it impossible to pass. Yet, I enjoyed every second of it. VT s a beautiful state with nice people.

Being the Mayor of that eclectic assemblage of people up in Burlington must have been great experience.

Sanders did a great job as mayor
It's part of the reason I am voting for him
He can at least show some experience as an executive

I agree with the OP that there are a lot of desperate memes being thrown out by his detractors
I found the Burlington-Montpelier thing funny so I went with it

I do honestly believe it is irrelevant which of the 5 running (Chafee, Clinton, O' Malley, Sanders, Webb) that gets the nomination, the teahadists will not work with any of them. If they gave the reich wing 100% of what they wanted, they'd still claim the president wasn't bipartisan enough and the media would likely agree

Teabagger members of Congress. The Kochs won't be able to buy them as they can now. THEY are what that Corporate money buys. No Democrat should be accepting it.

That is why Bernie has made it a central issue of his campaign. And he is the ONLY one doing so. Not just 'SAYING SO' because we all know that talk means nothing during campaigns, especially ACTIONS are contradicting the words.

Do you really think he got to where he is without his wonderfully enthusiatic supporters working hard every day to OVERCOME the anti-People campaign they KNEW would be launched against anyone who actually represents the PEOPLE, not the Corporations?

I love having a list of the Citizens United funded tnoalking points so that people can see the contrast between what a non Corporate Funded Candidate has on his mind as compared to all the shady characters working AGAINST the people who only engage in the 'politics of personal destrucion'.

Btw, I took previously non-voters, disgusted by all this, now enthused by a real People's Candidate, to register as Dems in NY this week.

I wonder will they be polled? We'll see.
