I think we need to number the Hillary memes against Bernie...kind of like how Gibbs on NCIS has his rules numbered.
This will save our keystrokes.
1. Bernie isn't a Dem
2. Bernie doesn't have PoC supporting him
3. Bernie is a gun toting, tobacco spitting , 2nd amendment appeaser
4. Bernie is a Jew
5. Bernie is a bad Jew
6. Bernie is a cranky old man
7. Bernie is older than the 10 commandments
8. Bernie is an Atheist....shudder
9. Bernie attracts window shoppers
10. Bernie has peaked
11. Bernie is a communist/socialist...you know, RED DEVIL
12. Bernie had a bastard child
13. Bernie cannot win the General
14.Bernie has the most evil, vile, thumb sucking, reality ignoring group of misfits following him
15. Bernie's millenials won't vote
16. Bernie loves volvos
17. Bernie isn't really LGBT supportive
18. Bernie walked with MLK, whoop dee doo
19. Bernie being a mayor of Burlington doesn't give him any management experience...if only he had been in Montpellier
20. Bernie isn't recognizing that it's Hillary's turn!
Amended:
21. Bernie is a racist who moved to Vermont to get away from minorities
22, Bernie loves the Minutemen militia
23. Bernie is a dirty old preevert who has rape fantasies
24. Bernie can't work with the GOP/Tea-bagger Congress
25. Bernie is NO Barack Obama
If there are more memes we need to write down, please advise.

(1,681 posts)That took content from the internet(blog posts, tweets, comments on places like DU) and using some fancy maths determined the hostility level of the message, it started out just determining the subject of the content, and whether or not the message was written from a positive or negative perspective against that subject, and eventually the end goal was to use it to determine potential threats to national security and help fight against terrorists. I left way before it got to that point but I'm pretty sure its way more sophisticated at this point.
Long story short, I've often considered whipping up a script to do the same for this forum just to see what the numbers look like. For as few Hillary supporters as there are here, the number of negative Bernie posts seems to be equal if not greater than the number of Hillary ones. Having the numbers to prove it would punch a lot of holes in some of the misinformation floating around about Bernie supporters and supposed nonstop vitriol towards Hillary.

(62,325 posts)end to as soon as we replace those funded by that money with Politicians who ARE NOT FOR SALE.
That money attracts some pretty unprincipled, shady characters into our electoral system, willing to spread lies and deceptions and preach their non principled agendas in an effort to justify their lack of a moral core. David 'Blinded by the Money' Brock is a perfect example of the shady characters all that money has enriched over the years, willing to jump from side to side, wherever the money is offered.
Ordinary people do not repeat memes that have been corrected. And anyone expressing 'concern' over a candidates position on an issue, will lose that 'concern' once it is explained that there is no truth to what has caused that concern.
Talking point pushers ignore such information and keep on pushing and repeating those expensive talking points.
When that money is out of our system, these shady organizations, think tanks etc will have nothing to 'work' for and that will vastly improve the political dialogue in this country.
Which is why it is a top issue in this campaign, because it is so damaging to our democracy.

(19,326 posts)like Hillary could.
And never mind that over 20% of Vermont's Republicans LOVE Bernie and vote for him
On edit: great list btw. happy to add as they come to recall. I think there are at least 1-2 more,
esp if we wait 40 minutes or so, for the next one to emerge.

I hadn't seen that.

So many sayings from that show. I think Flip Wilson had one too but I can't think of it.

(62,325 posts)'concern' is phony, and/or generated by money, you ignore corrections. In a way isn't that how we recognize sincere 'concern' say for AAs, and unprincipled USE of really serious issues for personal agendas?

(1,268 posts)..in large numbers, he won't have as many tea-baggers to put up with. At least that's the intention. If the base-and then some, are out in big numbers, we could turn around some fairly important races. Heard some talking head on MSNBC say Dem's could get Senate back (Sam Stein from Huff-Po?) The House? Not sure how many seats we need. I'll just say a bunch.

(19,326 posts)I've been saying, that in a GE, Bernie will have coat-tails the size of Texas.
I saw on DU yesterday something about how in a focus group of Millennials
(a representative mix of Ds, Rs & Is) even the Rs overwhelmingly favored
Bernie over Trump, or any other Republican. Imagine into that.

(8,879 posts)be casting my vote for purist Democratic principles . . . or maybe it was purist democratic principles. I can't remember exactly which, but I do know that people who are not so privileged as myself would never be so irresponsible to vote for anything other than third way economic policy and a centrist dem, reactionary social justice platform. I need to stop striving and start accepting lest I risk not finding the sensible Democratic candidate in office.

(17,997 posts)He raised over $750 million just for St. Jude children's hospital.
He said once, he had been rich enough to be a republican for decades but he cares about people and our country so he will always be a democrat. He had great respect for Bernie Sanders. I wish he was still around. Such an intelligent, funny great man, my uncle was.

(24,329 posts)I mean... if he had been Mayor of Montpelier he'd be far more qualified.
But... you know... Burlington?
As to #24... I think that applies to all 5 of them.
Hell, the teahadists cannot even work with Boehner. Little chance they'd work with Webb, much less Sanders or Clinton

(15,265 posts)trips up there from Massachusetts. Church St was always an interesting place to visit.
Some of my trips were just day trips where I'd leave Ma at 4:30 or 5:00in the morning.
Without fail, when I needed to make time to make a meeting on time, on those beautiful mountainous stretches of two lane highway in VT a car would pull out of the slow right lane into the fast left lane and drive at a steady 45 or 50 for 50 or 60 miles. That car would invariably be a Volvo with VT plates The combination of the cadence of the traffic and grade of the highway made it impossible to pass. Yet, I enjoyed every second of it. VT s a beautiful state with nice people.
Being the Mayor of that eclectic assemblage of people up in Burlington must have been great experience.

(24,329 posts)Sanders did a great job as mayor
It's part of the reason I am voting for him
He can at least show some experience as an executive
I agree with the OP that there are a lot of desperate memes being thrown out by his detractors
I found the Burlington-Montpelier thing funny so I went with it
I do honestly believe it is irrelevant which of the 5 running (Chafee, Clinton, O' Malley, Sanders, Webb) that gets the nomination, the teahadists will not work with any of them. If they gave the reich wing 100% of what they wanted, they'd still claim the president wasn't bipartisan enough and the media would likely agree

(62,325 posts)Teabagger members of Congress. The Kochs won't be able to buy them as they can now. THEY are what that Corporate money buys. No Democrat should be accepting it.
That is why Bernie has made it a central issue of his campaign. And he is the ONLY one doing so. Not just 'SAYING SO' because we all know that talk means nothing during campaigns, especially ACTIONS are contradicting the words.

"Not enough Bernie" In the meantime, all Hillary has to do is change her pantsuit.
It's sad the tone that is allowed on this site since Skinner announced his support for Hillary.

(62,325 posts)to potential supporters also. So it's a good thing to have them all in one place.
Do you really think he got to where he is without his wonderfully enthusiatic supporters working hard every day to OVERCOME the anti-People campaign they KNEW would be launched against anyone who actually represents the PEOPLE, not the Corporations?
I love having a list of the Citizens United funded tnoalking points so that people can see the contrast between what a non Corporate Funded Candidate has on his mind as compared to all the shady characters working AGAINST the people who only engage in the 'politics of personal destrucion'.
Btw, I took previously non-voters, disgusted by all this, now enthused by a real People's Candidate, to register as Dems in NY this week.
I wonder will they be polled? We'll see.
