4. Well if they do that with the studio audience then who is in the audience is crucial

I know MSNBC has done that before but not with the debate audience, they get their own audience and they designate repubs, dems, etc.

and not with Bernie supporters. No, it's not a fair process. Just like the decision to have only 6 debates was not fair. DWS made that decision on her own. The so-called "Democratic" National Committee isn't very "Democratic."
