As a political junkie for over 4 decades I have always appreciated Lincoln Chafee's presence

in the seats he was elected to serve. He was always a great addition to the debate and to the work needed to further progress.

The years are not equally kind to people, even the best of us.

I respectfully submit that the much appreciated Gov. Chafee is not adding to the national debate at this time.

I expect he will drop out, but, I wanted to make it clear that some of the heavy lifting he did for progressive issues in the past did not go unnoticed. Certainly not by DU old-timers like me.

This applause is for YOU, Gov. Chafee.
