What does "winning the debate" mean?

If the standard is for the front runner to get on and off the stage without an embarrassing gaffe, then Hillary won. If the standard is to introduce oneself to new people, then Bernie won.

Chafee and Webb clearly lost. The rest didn't really lose. Sometimes you lose by not winning (O'Malley).

• If the standard is for the front runner to get on and off the stage without an embarrassing gaffe, then Hillary won - assuming we can count defense of the AUMF and proclaiming Iran to b your "best enemy" as non-gaffes

• If the standard is to introduce oneself to new people, then O'MALLEY won.

• If the standard is to have one's leading issue completely frame and shape everyone else's responses in the debate, then bernie won
