Her record is the only thing that matters, and it's full of holes. She's in bed with big money and she's also a war hawk. And if you can't see that, I don't know what to say, well, I do know what to say but I'm not going to say it.
One, you are baiting for hides and two, I think you read everything very carefully and for them to escape your notice is not in the realm of possibility. You are too smart for that to happen.

Hillary's record is mostly for big money, while Bernie's is for the 99%.
If you can't see that, I'm not going to try to convince you because it's so obvious that if that's not enough, then nothing is.
brooklynite

(62,325 posts)there are of them.
So a lot more disdain iis going in their direction than in ours.
I love it when people underestimate power of a people united.
Chuck Todd eg, admits to being 'puzzled' by Bernie's popularity.
That's what happens when you scratch and claw your way INTO a small bubble.
You only see what's inside and you could become very certain that YOU know what's BEST for all those outside.
What is missing from their arrogant and misguided calculations is the fact that MANY OF US could be where they are.
But we wouldn't be there if you paid us what they are paying them.
Because we have .... here comes the dreaded word ..... a CONSCIENCE.
Today I learned, for the umpteenth time actually, that being in possession of a 'conscience' is just simply reprehensible. It's simply UNPATRIOTIC. Most definitely ANT-CAPITALISM.
I learned also that Denmark is a hell hole of Happy Socialists.
Their thinking is so upside down they don't even know it.
I pity them for their lack of human emotions, for their weaknesses that have led them to a place where they are so totally blinded by their own 'beliefs' they can't figure out why they are so DISDAINED.
I know we are way smarter than most of them.
Smart isn't a requirement for acquiring wealth and power.
Up to now we haven't used the power we have.
But it was bound to happen when they predictably didn't know when to stop grabbing our stuff to the point where we NOTICED.

Building the Golden Gate Bridge, the Hoover Dam, the Interstate Highway System, schools, parks, wilderness areas...
Nobody ever paid the full top rate, because they were directed to public works where they could help the commons, AND keep more of their fortune.
Bluenorthwest
(45,319 posts)"On November 4, 1930, voters within the Golden Gate Bridge and Highway Districts six member counties (San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Del Norte, and portions of Napa and Mendocino) went to the polls on the question of whether to put up their homes, their farms and their business properties as collateral for a $35 million bond issue to finance the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge (Bridge). For some, the timing of the bond election was considered economically reckless as it would create bonded indebtedness during the Great Depression. Others said bridge construction represented the economic relief needed from the Great Depression. After the vote, it was clear the people believed in Chief Engineer Joseph Strauss vision 145,057 voted in favor and 46,954 against it.
To celebrate, every store in Marin County closed at 3 PM on November 12, 1930, as Marvelous Marin club staged a parade with floats and fireworks. Santa Rosa celebrated with a bond fire.
The last of the construction bonds was retired in 1971, with $35 million in principal and nearly $39 million in interest being paid entirely from Bridge tolls. With the exception of the Sausalito Lateral approach road (Alexander Avenue today) which was built as a federal WPA project, there was no state or federal funds involved in building the Golden Gate Bridge."
http://goldengatebridge.org/research/BondMeasure.php
The People paid for Hoover Dam and just finished paying in 1987:
"BOULDER CITY, Nev. The $140-million mortgage, a loan from the U.S. Treasury, to build Hoover Dam will be paid in full today.
Residential and industrial users of electricity have been paying back the government $5.4 million a year at 3% interest over the last 50 years as part of their monthly utility bills."
http://articles.latimes.com/1987-05-31/news/mn-9239_1_hoover-dam
Interstate Highway Funding: 90% Federal and 10% State funding. No private funding from those seeking to avoid high taxes. Public funding, yet again:
Why does the Federal Government pay 90 percent of the cost?
"As President Dwight D. Eisenhower began to promote creation of a program to build the Interstate Construction Program, the Nation's Governors made clear to him that they did not want to be forced to increase State taxes to pay the additional matching funds for the national program. Therefore, the President proposed to increase funds for the Interstate System, while boosting the Federal share to 90 percent. Under his proposal, the States would continue paying the same amount in matching funds for the Interstate System that they had been paying under the 1954 Act."
https://www.fhwa.dot.gov/interstate/faq.cfm#question6
None of the projects you listed were built by people 'sheltering' wealth from taxation and all were in fact paid for via taxation and other public means.
Amazed that a SF native whose father served on the Highway Commission would think the Golden Gate Bridge was built by oligarchs as a way to avoid high taxes....

I wouldn't be surprised if there are black posters on DU more financially secure than others...but to extrapolate from that, they also have a disdain for blacks of less means was tacky and baseless.

Feelin' the Bern more strongly every day. He is an activist's once-in-a-lifetime dream-come-true of a candidate and I couldn't be prouder to support him. I say support, instead of campaign for, because Bernie's platform does not need anyone to sell it. He is the one and only, not for sale, politician in town!
His sensible, reasonable, well-thought-out platform sells itself. If he were an automobile dealership, it would be Saturn. What you see is what you get. No hidden costs, such as poverty, unemployment, new and continuing wars, the collapse of the middle class or other such horrors, possible under a Third Way Administration, and less likely under the administration of a true PROGRESSIVE! Go Bernie!
