(37 posts)that although she was the SOS, had been ongoing before her. Adults would have said; "ok, we have an problem here, how can we help prevent it from happening again." and worked towards a resolution. We unfortunately, do not have that.
Her "what difference does it make" comment, although poorly timed, was right. Those people were already dead, and there was no correcting that. So, the important thing becomes prevention.

(12,730 posts)In politics and show business it's all about perception. It's the "Big Lie" and the rPukes are lifelong subscribers.
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State. - Joseph Goebbels

(151,249 posts)of Republicans to tarnish Hillary Clinton's public record and get people pissed off at her. The problem for Republicans is the sheer stupidity of their members of Congress and Hillary Clinton's ability to rise above petty attacks on her.
It's the same thing as their endless attempts to "repeal Obamacare." For some reason, Republicans in Congress think that will help them get re-elected, so they just keep introducing bills and adding amendments to bills to destroy the ACA. Attempts to shut down the government by holding up budget bills is another example of their idiotic obstructionism.
Since they're idiots, these things frequently backfire on them and have the opposite result from their intentions. The Benghazi hearing did that especially spectacularly.

"besides being her immediate crowning glory."
She lost a fucking friend. She lost three other people she was responsible for. There is no "crowning glory" with respect to Benghazi. Yes, she was amazing at the hearing. You need to figure out that the hearing was not about Benghazi. You say it wasn't and then immediately conflate the two.
