2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSo I just watched Bernie in IA I just listened to Bernie in IA
What was new was his comparing his history on issues to Hillary's history.
I agree with all his stands on issues. I don't think the future depends on what you thought in the past. We all grow and our ideas mature. I was against the Iraq war. I remember Dems telling gays to STFU it wasn't their time to roar.
But we can't live in the past. We must live in the moment and plan for the future.
Whether we are for Bernie, O'Malley or Hillary we are for basically the same issues.
I am Listening to O'Malley right now. He is speaking about the same issues.
Vote for your favorite in the primary. Vote for our nominee in the general.

(48 posts)I think Bernie can win the whole thing. I just don't think Clinton can, but will support her if she does win. Better than voting for Fuzzy the Klown.

(850 posts)On the fact that making the right call on decisions the first time can be the difference between life and death (Iraq war), and this becomes even more of a prominent issue when it is the president. Sorry, but I can't support someone that doesn't have good enough judement on the issues facing the American people the first time around. Maybe an issue or two I could be able to deal with, but not nearly ALL of them

(9,463 posts)I thought Bernie did great but I've heard most of what he said already. I will give Hillary a fair listen.

(47,803 posts)If we are to be a democracy, and of we to have a healthy and large middle class, and reduce poverty, save the environment, make healthcare universal and affordable...etc we HAVE TO break up the oligarchy and the corporate/financial/media monopolies, or at the very least take them on and make them accountable.
Sanders is the only candidate who is addressing that openly and clearly. O'Malley comes close. Clinton talks about aspirin.
