2016 Postmortem

His speech seems so much more persuasive and interesting than Romney's; he's a much better speaker, much more genuine in his outrage, and he makes the most absurd claims seem almost reasonable just because of his confidence and the tone of certainty in his voice. I can imagine him getting audiences pretty whipped up... whereas Romney has such a huge charisma deficit. The talking heads on MSNBC may not agree, but they may be more influenced by reason and facts than the typical low-information voter would be.
I think I'm kind of glad Romney will be the nominee after all.

It brings back memories of the early nineties, when the little shithead just would not shut up. After awhile, even back then, it all sounded like the same waaah-waah-waaah, like Lucy in a Charlie Brown cartoon.
I think he has a brief, if exciting, shelf life. After a time, though, he grows rancid and sour.
I was hoping that he'd last a little longer, but he's already starting to turn.
