(61,619 posts)They are conceding the election to Obama. I'm not kidding.
And it wasn't easy to find these threads, because the front page of FR is ignoring the primary entirely. It took me a while to locate two pertinent threads, and my eyes will never be the same. Have you been to FR lately? The design, if you can call it that....

(29,047 posts)-Bummer.
-Theyre partying and celebrating on FOX.
-This is... depressing. I am ashamed to call myself a Floridian. The drums of tyranny are growing louder.
-Is this going to be a belly-aching, self-indulgent thread..?
What would REAGAN do?
-You can't win the GOP nomination without winning South Carolinaso let not your hearts be troubled.
-Screw Romney. He aint gettin my vote.
-Four More Years is a certainty now.
-A local radio guy here in LA said that there was a poll that showed 51% of Florida Republicans described themselves as moderates. Only 29% said they were Conservatives.
If thats true, Newt never had a chance.
->>>What would REAGAN do?
Go full attack mode against the media.... at every turn, tell the world the media is cramming Willard down the Republicans throats because they really want DearLeader re-elected.
-If Romney wins the nomination we can be sure that millions of FL who would have voted Republican will just sit it out in the General Election and FL communists Democrats will vote King Obama to win the State. Really screwed.
-Those miserable scumbags. How I hate them all. The whole lib media circus.
-That sends chills up my spine, gator. Im bordering on tears at this moment.

(18,633 posts)I'm not sayin' they drove off the deep end, but.....
Both parties are driving us toward socialism its just that one party is driving a little faster than the other. If obama is reelected the fault lands squarely at the feet of the GOP for not supporting a true conservative. I will not vote for a RINO and if obama is reelected because of a third party then Im ready to rip off the band-aid and have this revolution. I can fight for my childrens freedoms. If I help elect a RINO then my children will have to fight for their own freedoms. Id rather do that for them.

(28,151 posts)Funny how some Freepers believe their party is so mushy, full of sell-outs, there's no difference between the parties!1!
Sounds exactly like a certain few DUers, no? Cracks me up.

(3,469 posts)"was it over when the German's bombed Pearl Harbor?" which resulted in two pages of confused freepers saying huh? and two more pages of people trying to explain that it's a joke. Four pages later folks are still saying "huh?" Between their major meltdown over Newt and their complete inability to grasp a simple joke, I'm laughing my ass off.
that's an old joke. Incredible how out of touch they are with anything resembling pop culture. Or even with communicating with anyone with a sense of humor.

It's good for us, of course, that they don't...Let them weep and wail at a Romney nomination.
They'll sit out the election and we'll win!

(11,550 posts)"How can any right thinking Christian, conservative or tea party supporter justify voting for Romney? Romney is an empty suit. A complete fraud. Worse, he's anti-tea party, anti-conservative, anti-liberty! He has absolutely zero conservative accomplishments to his name. His ONLY accomplishments in government are liberal, ie, tax payer funded abortion, gay marriage, gun control, RomneyCare, mandates, etc. He is Obama-lite. Are these voters uninformed, terrified, brainwashed, or just plain nuts?

(28,151 posts)In all likelihood Mittens is going to be their nominee. Will they use all the mighty power of FR to mobilize the nation into electing a third party candidate that suits their tastes? lolz

(10,857 posts)They could have sat back, set their own nominating convention a week after the Republican one, and picked up Ron Paul after the GOP paid his way to that point.
I still think Paul sees the opportunity to plant his own positions squarely in the public debate by breaking off as an independent, and he's tried it repeatedly in the past with far less support than he has now.
If he does, it's the best possible favor he could do us, by threatening to lure away the "git-awf-ma-propateh" vote, on which the GOP entirely depends for its success in rural districs.
