If you're one of those who thinks President Obama is a "disappointment," my condolences for not getting your unicorn. And it's time to grow up, get over it. We have four months to go before an election that will feature more political ads than you have ever seen before in your life. We're not just having to beat Willard Romney; we also have to beat Citizens United. There will be TWO choices for president. You can either work for Obama and every other Democrat (yes, including Blue Dogs), or you can sit back and watch Willard Romney complete the job of taking apart the social fabric of the country that was begun by Ronald Reagan.

You also say, "You can either work for Obama and every other Democrat (yes, including Blue Dogs), or you can sit back and watch Willard Romney ..." Of course, under your obvious view, none of us should expect to influence the policies of the Congress, the Senate, or the Administration. Nor should we expect certain important changes which we were expressly or implicitly promised when we campaigned for Obama's 2008 election, when we donated to his campaign, and when we voted for him.
Many of these excuses are as valid as they were earlier. Some, however, could use updating:

(27,787 posts)something like, "Progressive Prez 2016".
I mean let's face facts, Obama will be the Dem candidate in 2012, period. There will be no primary.
And so, complaining about Obama isn't going to effect the 2012 election much, unless the disappointed stay home.
But I keep wondering when they will take their disappointment and start thinking about 2016. Or what will the disappointed do, wait until 2015, and then lament the lack of a true progressive candidate?
So far no one who claims to be disappointed has tried to start the discussion I suggest. Why not?
On edit: You might want to update that "Obama is really pro-gay" dot on your bingo card.

(3,544 posts)I have never in my lifetime found a president that accomplished more for this country than Obama. Yet MSM never gives him credit. Why? I wish I could answer that, as I'm sure racism is in the middle of the excuse. Sad. Very sad.

(1 post)Please back up your first ten Obama accomplishments with
facts and figures, lf you can.
I am sure you would not lie about Obama, but I need real info
to show my conservative friends.
When they asked me this question, I was really embarrassed to
admit that I am too dumb to answer intelligently.

We have a number of Duers who can quote you chapter and verse on the matter, but you will not be able to explain it yourself, without taking the time to educate yourself.
