(42,862 posts)Based on your observations about it being a distortion of the facts and the article's content, I still think it's an excellent question. Why would the OP do that?

(84,319 posts)Why would Warren be there if she didn't endorse her? Jiminey Cricket, the stupid is growing on DU.

(84,319 posts)It's a not party where you invite friends over for nachos and video games. Why would Warren be there. It's not curious. It's plain as the nose on your face.

(52,589 posts)The only problem arises is if she gains the presidency and ignores the citizens Warren represents. Then we all pay the price of politics.

(137 posts)by the gulf between your header and the actual facts within the article.
Based upon the history between Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren if there was any snubbng it would be Warren snubbing Mrs. Clinton. When entering the race for her NY Senate seat Clinton was being advised by Warren on positions regarding the Financial Community and Wall Street. After successfully winning her bid for the Senate Clinton reversed herself on the very positions advocated by Warren and taken by Clinton while campaigning.
It was reported that Warren was not at all amused and thus has refrained from any endorsement of Clinton to date.

Seriously. (And I'm talking to the people of conscience here, so the rest of you can keep your cynical snark to yourselves.)

(16,286 posts)I dont understand this AT ALL.
If you support her then you are part of this event which is about SUPPORTING her, why would senators NOT supporting her be involved?
I have to be missing something.

(15,429 posts)Nither MAria Cantwell nor Elizabeth Warren have endorsed Hillary, and this is a fundraising event.
IT would be incredibly presumptuous to invite people who are not supporting you to a fundraiser!
My gosh, you Sanders supporters would have screamed about her presumption in inviting Elizabeth Warren to a fundraiser when she had not endorsed Hillary, so with you there is no way to win. You would have railed on about her regardless!

(23,664 posts)My opinion of Elizabeth Warren would go way down if she actually paid $250 to attend a fund raising dinner for a corporate shill who is barely a Democrat in the first place.
I'm happy that warren wasn't invited and proud that she apparently has no interest in rubbing elbows with political hacks.

(4,775 posts)We'll see. If she does, it will be a major blow to Sanders. I really hope she works to help Bernie's campaign, they have a lot in common and need each other. But I've been preparing myself for some bad news re Warren. Her silence re the primary has been deafening.

(6,437 posts)That's how these things work. A snub would be if Warren had endorsed Clinton and then was uninvited.
