2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWore my Bernie hat to a US Forest Service field trip...
Got my Bernie hat and shirt yesterday. So today, I went on a field trip with
Forest personnel and attendees - about 30 people total. I wore my Bernie hat.
I only had a chance to talked to a few people, but 5 people commented on Bernie Sanders. One person
said she went to a Bernie rally and the others all talked positive about Bernie.
Even in rural Northern California, people are excited about Senator Sanders.
Just FYI...

(1,656 posts)It was after about an hour into the presentation, during lunch, that the people
started mentioning Sanders. I did not initiate the conversation about Bernie - they
started talking about him.
It's just reassuring that people all over America are talking about Sanders. Positive talk.
Presidential talk...!

(17,505 posts)Many people are/will vote for Clinton because that's a name they recognize. They know nothing about her. That's why we get gooey fanboy stuff like "She's the most qualified candidate ever!". Many also think she's gonna be Bill. Then there's the "It's time for a woman!" thing. (because they're all the same, y'know)
The more people get to know who Sanders is, the better.

(7,142 posts)half way between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and I have been wearing my Bernie shirt and hat. Most of the compliments I get are from the younger generation, usually something like, love your shirt.
I blog on our local web site and it is a rough crowd to deal with, but I keep pushing Bernie.
