Here is my guess:
"Sputter sputter. This campaign is not how Mitt Romney treats his dogs, it is about how to get this economy moving again. Any one who knows me knows there is not an anti-dog bone in my body. That is all I am going to say on that."

I don't worry about poor dogs because we have a safety net for dogs - don't we?

I believe it is called pentobarbital.

Or he could just strap them all to the top of his campaign jet.

The dog was never in any danger, and we made frequent stops to make sure the dog was okay and to allow it to relieve itself and eat."

Might be a great idea for Dem activists to follow Romney around with during the general election. It might be as much of a hit as "Chicken George", the man in a chicken suit who followed Bush I around in 1992 - and who Bush I famously got into an argument with.
