Wayne Powell Calls on Eric Cantor to Explain Association with Embroiled Senate Candidate Todd Akin.

Wayne Powell, Congressional candidate in Virginia's 7th District, today called on his opponent, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, to explain his co-sponsorship of 32 abortion bills with Rep. Todd Akin and to denounce his candidacy for the U.S Senate seat in Missouri. Akin told a St. Louis news station on Sunday that "legitimate rape" rarely causes pregnancy, saying, "If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down."

"Cantor's and Akin's abortion votes clearly show they are a mirror image of each other," said Powell. "The only difference is Akin talked about his."

Hope you do not mind me responding, but my dislike for Cantor is beyond most people's dislike for poison ivy!!! This man has one thing in his mind and that is to move up in the conservative, perverted chain; and eventually hold or at least try to hold, the highest office in the land... And, look who supports him; Addellman!!!.. People, especially women, all over this great country, need to know of his realisms, and anyone else that sits as part of our law-making branch of government, really think of us...He represents Virginia; should we figure he would not feel this way? Did he give any support to Gov. Internal V. Probe, of his state????
I am 68 years old, and I have seen much in my lifetime; but never so bad and so hateful as things are now...It is so hurtful, to see people being so small minded and bigoted, that they only feel safe, if all of life is practiced and lived their way.... Maybe some letters to the editors of papers in Va. will help women there see Cantor as a chauvinist so-and-so that he really is; and tell him he Can't do this Or hold office any longer!!!!!
