Hillary Clinton will be our next president — you can bet on it

At this stage, anyone wanting to place a bet on her winning the White House can get no odds better than even, according to bookmakers’ websites.

Anything can happen in this life, and nothing is completely certain. But I’d still bet on her at those odds — or even considerably shorter. At this stage, Hillary is starting to look like what gamblers call a “racing certainty.”

It’s only a few weeks since Republican Congressman Kevin McCarthy basically admitted to Sean Hannity that the Benghazi committee’s goal was to drive down Hillary’s poll numbers. Oops.

The main bookmakers are based in London, although they take bets from around the world. But according to America’s only onshore political-betting operation, the University of Iowa’s Iowa Electronic Market, the outlook for Republicans is even worse.

As of the weekend, the betting was giving the Democrats a better-than-60% chance of winning the presidential election — with Hillary, it is assumed, the prohibitive favorite for the nomination.

You couldn’t make it up.

Let's look back at the lead-up to the 2008 primaries:

For several months Clinton led opinion polls among Democratic candidates by substantial margins until Senator Barack Obama pulled close to or even with her. Clinton then regained her polling lead, winning many polls by double digits; by autumn 2007 she was leading all other Democratic candidates by wide margins in national polls.

And yet, somehow, she did not ultimately win the nomination.

History does not always repeat itself, but things change often and fast in politics.

Too much unexpected stuff can happen during these insanely long primary seasons. And you never know when some kind of Black Swan event will come along and upend all the predictions. I know what results I want, but I also know that I can't possibly predict whether that will happen.

Obama promised much; so does Hillary...sometimes.

We need someone who can deliver for the middle class, not for the 1%.

when it is all over.

People are excited about Bernie because he focuses on the issues that are affecting real Americans, not just the elite. The real Americans vote, and no polls will ever touch these people.

None of the talking heads who are proclaiming for Clinton know what the hell they are talking about. That is their bubble, and real Americans will leave them thinking that Clinton is leading, when Bernie wins in a 2:1 landslide.

No polls will every say that because they want you thinking that Clinton is the the right candidate. She has already begun damaging her credibility, just like she did in 2008. All we have to do is continue the increased pressure if she stands with the real Americans or the Third Way organization that are demanding that she stop shifting to the left. Her loyalties is already made clear.

Myth 25: The campaign is over, Clinton has already won.
Yeah, you’ve been telling us that since well before Clinton even declared, and her cheerleaders have been trying to scare off any competitors since 2012. You’re “inevitability” is an illusion. Once again the corporate main stream media is declaring this contest is over with Bernie nearly tied in Iowa and way ahead in New Hampshire. Bernie is doing far better than Obama was 8 years ago in the polls, has 750,000 people who have donated to his campaign, and far higher trustworthiness, integrity, and enthusiasm numbers. I believe that we will win. We will not sit down, we will not shut up, we will not stop fighting. Resistance is not futile. We will tell you the same thing today we told you 8 years ago when you tried this psychological warfare against Obama: YES WE CAN!
