It's a whole lot for us, but doesn't compare to GOP donors.

The day after I make a donation, I get an email from someone on the campaign asking me to donate so I will be entered in a drawing for lunch with the Obama's.

Maybe you wont get the dinner, maybe Romney will not win. You give, I can tell you it ain't going to a Porsche Obama will drive around, its commercials in OH and FL. Make your own dinner, and enjoy it after Obama wins another 4 years.

I've been out of work over a year. Twenty five bucks is dear right now. Particularly to be giving it away to a politician in the age of citizens united. There's a reason your having a hard time raising money.

Many people are donating time instead of money. We know we'll be outspent in ads. And there's not a damned thing we can do about it. Raising $1000 for your Obama page doesn't pay for ONE ad to run ONE time on ONE channel. I choose to spend my $50 buying cell phone minutes so that I can call into Virginia and excite others in my neighborhood about campaigning.

Obama's campaign is people-powered. Deal with it.

Simply an Obama grassroots template https://donate.barackobama.com hit it, you will see, has nothing to do with me. I give it a title and a picture the rest goes to the campaign. ITS NOT MY PAGE.

10. It's your page.

[font color="green" face="Verdana"]It's your page in the sense that contributions via that page are filtered in such a way that you get some kind of credit for it. Junior bundler or something. You have absolutely no way of knowing what people here have or haven't given, and being new, it's just really bad form to show up bitching at us. I'll chalk it up to youthful exuberance.

That being said, welcome to DU. I hope you relax and find it as cool and informative a place as most of us old-timers do. Your cat's adorable, by the way.
