Who would Bernie choose to lead the DNC?

With the President of the party often choosing who will run the DNC once the election is past, who do you think Bernie would put into that position, since it's expected DWS won't be the one to stick around once Obama has left office.

I would trust enough to reenergize my participation at this juncture. The "pool" from which to draw potential leaders is becoming less and less populated due to the corporatization of our pols.
I'm gonna have to reserve my choice until I see who's left that's Isn't part of the Repub Wing of our Dem Party.

If it were up to the gop wing of the dem party...perhaps john Boehner? I hear he's got some free time. (sarcasm)

It's an important part of party building and winning elections and bringing policy through to the next level through senate and house of reps.

With so much dissatisfaction towards the current DNC leadership, it's something that would be interesting to see what route he takes because it's such an integral part of the Democratic Party in general at this point. And very much worth considering.

We just had that happen last week with places like Kentucky with a 31% turnout, half of which were dems. You had some around here complaining that it was all her fault. So 2014 can squarely be placed on her as well.

But it's probably a bit more than 25%. I'd say mid thirties at this point among those watching.

But it's not often one is carried into a new presidency. If Hillary wins I'd guess that she'd probably be kept on for at least a cycle unless moved elsewhere.

5. Interesting question
Sun Nov 8, 2015, 01:48 PM
Nov 2015

Who knows, until someone asks him. I think he would have on his list someone like Howard Dean, or a member of the Progressive Caucus. He has worked for a long time with many members and knows who has the skills needed for the job. He is very much in favor of the 50 state strategy, which I think is vital for the party's future and the success of the issues for which we all are working. That would be a good question to ask him; hello Thom Hartmann!

Dean was on my shortlist when he was first running way back when and I loved his stint with the 50 State strategy and what it did to life so many boats. It's the kind of basic vision that the head of the DNC should have.

It's an interesting exercise - and in the end one even more worth looking at when you consider that while Sanders is running fully under the party, he's not been a Democratic Party member. So having him take on that position is an interesting consideration.

You could easily expand it to look into who he might bring into any cabinet that he would have as well. Would it be Dem heavy? Would it be more independents? Would it be a mix of parties?

These are considerations to talk about when it comes to whether one would want to back him. The election of President is far more than just the President themself.

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, currently a deputy chair under DWS, has shown herself to be a strong and articulate advocate for the real interests of the Democratic Party by demanding more Democratic Party Primary debates and an end to DWS's exclusionary policies.

We must take back the leadership of the DNC from its Third Way- Republican Lite - usurpation. Down with DWS, Up with Tulsi Gabbard!

that could do a better job than DWS is currently doing.

As far as specifics, I'd like to see someone fresh, someone that brings new ideas and doesn't champion Republicans. I know that seems like too broad of an evaluation, but hell, considering what we have now, not campaigning for Republicans would be a step up.
