if the debates are cancelled

I'm guessing that they won't be able to reschedule until after the Thanksgiving break ...

Out of respect for the victims and I'm guessing Clinton's schedule isn't going to be very flexible.

I'm guessing the statement will read

"Out of respect for the victims of the terror attacks in Paris, we are cancelling tonight's debates. We will reschedule the debate at an appropriate date in consultation with all the candidates. Our prayers and thoughts are with the families of the loved ones."

At best they will play a 30 second clip showing who was the most hawkish and who will be best at "keeping America safe".

And honestly no one (other than people who follow politics closely) will be watching

3. That's a bogus reason for cancelling/rescheduling a debate.

If the DNC had wanted people to pay attention to this Iowa debate, they wouldn't have scheduled it on a Saturday against a big football game.

Very difficult to criticize such a reason.

8. The "reason" you gave was so there would be eyes on the debate, which has NOTHING

to do with respecting victims. I'd say it's more respectful of the victims to reaffirm that democratic processes aren't delayed or derailed by terrorist tactics.

.. about "scheduling conflicts" when it comes to the game v the debate.

If only there was some kind of recording device one could use to "capture" the debate and view it at another time. That way, people could see "the big game" and not miss the debate at all!

I bet that if such a device was available, literally millions of people would have them and use them.

... and the investigation by French authorities has barely begun.

The candidates would all be asked what they would do about this attack in France, against the French, by some French people.

Not productive in terms of long-term issues facing us.
