Since the 1st Democratic debate nearly 3,000 people have died from gun violence in the United States

Hillary Clinton summed up one of the most important issues of this election at the Democratic debate.

“This is an emergency.”

Since the last Democratic debate—a mere 32 days ago—nearly 3,000 people have died from gun violence in the United States.

Hillary made her voice loud and clear at tonight’s debate: It’s time to act. And she has a plan to prevent gun violence.

1 - Increase background checks.
2 - Put the safety of communities over the profits of the gun lobby.
3 - Keep guns from domestic abusers, other violent criminals, and the severely mentally ill.

If even one life is saved with these ideas, then it's clearly worth it. Go ahead, gun culture. Defend domestic violence.

Thank you Hillary for caring so much and trying to do something about gun violence that destroys so many lives.

Since that is 2/3 of firearms related deaths. I am curious on how she is going to stop that. Do you have any ideas?

Anyone familiar with the statistics immediately thought "suicides" when HRC used her number. That's how I know it was pandering, to low information voters.

It's talk like this that boasts gun sales. Domestic gun manufacturing has tripled since 2007, and gun imports have doubled.

She intentionally conflated suicides with other gun deaths.

a victim of too readily available firearms. Sorry, but I'm not buying your argument, nor will I discuss it further with you.

I knew people who have committed suicide with a firearm. They should never have had access to one.

Does not do a damn thing for the 2/3 that are people choosing to take their own lives by suicide. But she has to add those numbers to make it sound worse for the low information voter.

Is already law and it is illegal for those people to legally own firearms.
