Really impressed with the SEIU not jumping the gun and.....

Making a serious effort to honor the wishes of their membership. It's the way it should be done.

"Union officials said the polls so far show Clinton with the highest level of support from members, with 75 percent of members feeling favorable toward her."

"AFSCME, which represents 1.3 million healthcare workers, correction officers, sanitation workers and other public sector employees, has been conducting polling since spring, and livestreamed its town halls with candidates in Iowa. "We have created unprecedented opportunities for every member around the country to play an active part in this important decision and there is no predetermined timeline for a decision," the AFSCME official said."

"In addition to the AFT, Clinton’s campaign has scored the backing of some smaller AFL-CIO affiliates, such as the Machinists Union, the Roofers and Waterproofers Union, the Bricklayers Union, and the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. On Tuesday, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America announced their endorsement of Clinton."

Did you really type that with a straight face and then follow it up with this?

But they shouldn't lead to a strawman as is being done in your reply here.

"Make a list and make it make sense."

Before making an offensive demand right out of the box, that is directed at someone who agrees with you on ninety percent of issues, you might want to reflect on what you are know promoting as reasons for something.

Best wishes.

Its always about being against something. Clinton will fight for a national increase in the minimum wage. Sander will have every opportunity in the senate to bring up legislation for $15. President Clinton will support the wage increase. I know it doesn't go with the "I have to be against everything" mantra.

Hillary supports an increase in the minimum wage at the national level. With Sanders using his great leadership in the senate, and Clinton leading at the executive level, it could truly become reality. This would be the perfect place after the election for Sanders to show his economic leadership. I'm really excited.

And the need to simply oppose everything. The fight for fifteen is alive and well no matter how hard you try to fight against it. We must increase the national minimum wage. I get that you are dejected, this is an enormous endorsement, but you will wipe it off and get back in the game to fight for an increase. The team just got stronger.

Goddess bless them, but that ain't gonna fly in those states. They need a liberal city council and the first thing is they have to elect liberals. That's how it worked in Seattle.

If they are willing to do work then they will prevail, but not at $15 in those low cost of living states (the three states I named are the lowest COL states in the nation).

A few years years ago I could buy a small carton of milk for $1.50. Today that same carton costs $2.60. And what will it be in three or four years.

If we're serious about restoring the financial security of the middle and working class we have to get serious about it -- not just tread water or allow it to continue to slip farther backwards.

Life would be a lot more pleasant if we could just kick back and be against the GOP.

Problem is we have to darting our eyes in both directions when Democratic leaders do things like push for "free trade": and the outsourcing of the American jobs and industries, deregulation of the financial sector, abetting the monopolization of the economy, scuttling public social health insurance, etc.

Or fail to support an actual graduated raise in the minimum that will do more than keep it at its present shitty level when compared to the continuing rises in the COL.

It's not like she would veto $15 if the congress passed it, but there is not a chance in hell that will happen. $12 is defensible, and a very good argument can be made for it since it is $8K above the federal poverty level for a family of two.
