I can't wait to hear this. It's going to be GREAT. Probably the complete opposite of a warmongering speech.

LOVE

(22,271 posts)it's just incredulous to me. They've done all this volunteering, all the campaigning, they're coming out in droves, talking about him on social media just to NOT come out and vote for him?

(38,634 posts)In advance. I don't think Sanders' speech had an advance ticket procedure.

(38,634 posts)Been limited to certain people with certain credentials and may have occurred before students, faculty and staff were permitted to enter. It is a private university and can limit access. Sanders' speech was open only to people with a GU ID.
It is ridiculous to imply that Sen. Clinton couldn't fill Gaston Hall if the speech were open to people with GU IDs.
I just saw the Business Insider article someone posted below. I'm not sure how credible it is, but it's just as likely that people who "won" tickets in the lottery (these are always free of charge) didn't yet arrive or decided not to use them--in which case that would have been pretty rude, as many other students would have gone.

(3,498 posts)Clinton's remarks on "Smart Power: Security Through Inclusive Leadership" were delivered at Georgetown's Gaston Hall, an auditorium that seats more than 700 people. However, based on tweets from those who attended the event, many seats were empty. .

(140 posts)Berniebros are so disgusting. I hate them with a white hot rage that berns with the heat of a thousand suns. I've demanded multiple berniebros denounce their racial and genital privileges and kneel before me, their intellectual and moral superior. Can you believe not a one would accept? They should call themselves Bernies Klan because they are all the worst kind of bigots!
Get out of my party berniebros!

(96,882 posts)...but this is a policy speech, and not a campaign rally. The question will be whether he can give a compelling message to the larger Democrat electorate.

I wish he would have presented this a couple of weeks ago, because unfortunately, I believe most of the coverage will be saturated with terrorism
