Democrats say Hillary won the second debate

The most recent Democrat debate took place in the immediate aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Paris. CBS, the moderators of the debate, decided to tack on questions about foreign policy and terrorism at the last minute to address the recent attacks. Hillary Clinton, former secretary of state and one-time supporter of the Iraq War, clashed over Middle Eastern policy, with Hillary Clinton going a step further than President Obama in calling for the 'defeat' not 'containment' of ISIS, while Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders argued that the Iraq War is largely to blame for the rise of ISIS.

45% of Democrats who are registered voters say that they watched at least clips of the debate, though only 11% say that they watched the entire debate. Of this group Hillary Clinton is regarded to have won, with 54% saying that Clinton won the debate, while 17% say that Bernie Sanders won. 6% say that Martin O'Malley won the debate.

I don't think an opinion poll says who won the debate. That isn't what "winning a debate" is about. It is about making a more convincing case and exposing your opponent as a weaker candidate and flip-flopper owned by corporate America and the military-industrial complex. Which Bernie did in spades.

If people fail to realize that, we deserve the disastrous presidency that HRC's would surely be. I weep for our democracy, sincerely, if HRC is nominated.

(I now await a snarky response, which I will ignore, so good night to you sir)

Insulting a person and not letting him or her respond reflects more on the person doing the insulting than it can ever reflect on the person who was insulted.

I do however note that it is extremely poor form to completely change the content of a post without a note explaining the edit. Other readers may then be misled as to what the conversation really was about:

But, as their rankings are in line with other, more reputable polls, they get a pass this time.

1. Yup.

And then, here's how it plays out within the next week:

Online Polls: Sanders, That Other Guy, Armageddon
Chattering Class: O'Malley, Clinton, Sanders
Actual Polls: Clinton, Sanders, O'Malley

They would be a part of the minority that said Bernie lost another debate. Maybe it's not his forte.
