Enough is enough - and he's the only one who has first hand experience pissing off a hand gun manufacturer.

But I am happy O'Malley is doing it too. We need every Democrat to get on board!

Beretta to move manufacturing jobs out of Maryland, blames state gun laws

Blaming Maryland’s new gun-control laws, Beretta USA said Tuesday that it is relocating its manufacturing operations from Accokeek to Tennessee, a move that will eliminate about 160 jobs in southern Prince George’s County.

The Italian company had disclosed a $45 million plan this year to expand operations to a new factory near Nashville. But Beretta has decided to go beyond that plan because, a senior executive said, the company is “very worried about the wisdom of maintaining a firearm manufacturing factory” in Maryland.

Maryland’s new gun restrictions, pushed by Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Conn., bans 45 types of assault rifles and put in place tough fingerprint, photo identification and training requirements. Magazines are limited to 10 rounds.

I know there is resistance to many of Clinton's and Sander's most ardent supporters to stop - listen - there are better ideas and ways out there . . .

But this is how you do it. This is the Playbook and I do not believe that anything other than the PROVEN method to get this done is the way to do it.

He changed Maryland's culture to the point of making it uncomfortable for this company to be based there.

Drive this into her playbook. Go to your organizing meetings and show it to other supporters. This is the way to get it done.

It's already been done - no need to try anything new when this works.

and has been on NRA's shit list for some time, since he achieved significant gun control laws in Maryland, as stated above.

Had a back-and-forth with a gun hugger who stated gun ownership was a "fundamental right". Life is a fundamental right and anything that denies it or threatens it needs to be viewed as a threat.

But what is the solution? California has more restrictive gun control laws than most states (including Maryland). It doesn't stop both states from being loaded with guns of all kinds. I am not saying that some of the restrictions aren't useful. They are (e.g., California's ten day waiting period is a good idea in my opinion). But seriously, I think only Bernie is focused on things that would help a lot, namely improving access to mental health care. Mandatory safety training is also a really useful thing and is perfectly compatible with any interpretation of the 2nd amendment.

I don't care if it's a winning or losing political issue (though clearly a winning on in the primaries). Getting our gun problem under control is the right thing to do.

This doesn't happen in other advanced countries. We're not the only country with mentally ill people. We're not the only ones that watch violent movies or play violent video games. This is soul-wearying and sickening. We have to do something.
