Boston Mayor Walsh endorses Clinton, at labor union rally

Nice two'fer - great endorsement at a labor union rally! Excellent.

"Mayor Martin Walsh threw his support behind presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as she sat nearby at a “Hard Hats for Hillary” event at Faneuil Hall on Sunday. Walsh praised the former US senator and US secretary of state for her commitment to labor’s interests.

Addressing labor union members, elected officials, and Clinton supporters, the mayor offered his endorsement: “In 2016, it’s time we stop talking about having a woman as president. It’s time we go out and make that a reality.”

Walsh urged the unions to “get your sledgehammers ready, because we’ve got a glass ceiling to demolish!”

Inside the hall, supporters waved signs that read “Fighting for Us” and “Painters and Allied Trades, DC 35, Hard Hats for Hillary.”

there is just too much distrust and backlash against another Clinton/Bush term. I believe that is one reason Bush is not gaining ground, the Repubs are tired of that family, but the Dems are slow to recognize the what might happen in GE.

Unless Trump is running as a spoiler, we should be prepared for a Repub in the WH ... IMHO.

have a hard time voting for Clinton, they do not trust her bottom line, but would vote for Sanders. These are generally Repub voters that do not like any of their candidates and will switch to vote for Sanders, but they could switch back in the GE.

We'll see, this is our election to lose to Trump, Cruz, Carson or Rubio. The Dems have not put forth their best ideas IMHO.

The rise of terrorism is being blamed on Obama, but we should also look to the invasion of Iraq and the millions of people displaced, you cannot displace millions of people without a backlash. IMO destabilizing the region was a big mistake. Obama said we need to look forward and not look at past mistakes under Bush, that was wrong.

Those who did not have the foresight are also to blame. Just like the mortgage crisis there were signs, those who do not recognize the signs and just say later on they made a 'mistake' should be met with more scrutiny.

They are not leaders IMHO.

Wake up: the vote in the GE will split along party lines, and the vast majority of Republicans will not vote for a Democrat. Best we can hope for is they don't vote for prez at all out of disgust at their own nominee. My daughter's in-laws are lifelong Repubs, but McCain choosing Palin as his running mate was a deal breaker for them. Please note, they still did not vote for the Kenyan.

Just listen to yourself saying we should allow Republican tastes to dictate the Democratic choice of candidate. That is just weird .... Unless you are planning for them to have a non-Democrat to vote for after all.

guess our family is not as much aligned to a party, sorry they do not always fall in line. Personally I think that is good attribute, otherwise we could just plaster a D or an R on their them from birth.

We have several members that are in their late 80's and broke with the Repubs. Sorry that you seem find that offensive that they broke party lines and 'are dictating to us.'

Please read what you wrote, our family is compromised of both parties and they cross lines when given a reason.

I find it weird when people have a closed mind, sorry but we are not marching in lockstep ... really strange I know.

And several have changed their party affiliation to vote in primaries.

We have weird thinkers in our family, sorry but they are not always going to raise the team flag and I think that is a good thing,
