Once he figured out that conventional remedies wouldn't cure the Great Depression and went all socialist-y, the millionaires jumped ship pretty darn quick.

Do you think Hillary would be as ready to abandon her current allies and change course when she discovers her love of Wall Street and neoliberal policies aren't working?

When she saw her campaign wasn't going to get her nominated in 2008, she got on board with Obama's (very successful) candidacy. Once she saw it was how history was gonna go, she never looked back.

If inaugurated, I suspect she'd invite Mitch McTurtle (if he's still Majority Leader) to a quick ultimatum: "none of this 'one-term' shit. I'm ready to play ball if you wanna do that, and I'll play war if you wanna do that."

Gates, Rooney, Mahar, DeBartolo, and Buffet just to name a few good democrats off the top of my head. Three of those open their homes to the Obamas when they're in their town.

Having a million bucks doesn't automatically make someone a Koch brother, and not everyone gains their fortune through evil means and greed.

I've heard that one can make a poll say anything they want, but you're playing this one like Jeff Dunham.

Money changes some for the worse, but it's not a given. Certainly a sense of philanthropy and good will survives wealth for most.

One only has to look at most of Hollywood's greatest and the musicians who selflessly donate both time and money to help those less fortunate. Zuckerburg, Gates, and Buffet's race back to zero and Clinton's Global Initiative are the very spirit of good will.

Being wealthy does not make one greedy or evil. Those are traits that likely existed before the windfall.

If we didn't have disposable income we wouldn't have cable TV and the internet. Places like Amazon and Dillards would shutter, but none of us consider ourselves greedy. Most of the 99% live our lives more frivolously than Mother Theresa who truly gave away everything she didn't need.

I know there are many below the poverty line, and I have family members who do, but the argument that wealth alone means one is selfish doesn't hold water. The Waltons and the Kochs may be the poster children of the rich & famous, but they have counterparts who are generous and giving.
