...in Iowa.

One of the benefits of living in Iowa...I get to see this firsthand. It kinda makes up for the snow and ice.

Both campaigns seem to have the fundamentals of very strong ground games.

I think Obama's campaign set the gold standard for ground games. I've never seen anything like it in Iowa, and I've seen several caucus cycles. It was unprecedented.

Obama's success clearly was the army of volunteers that canvased, made calls and hosted parties. It will be very interesting to see how this unfolds for both the Clinton camp and the Sanders camp. Each campaign seems to have their own strengths with regard to the ground game.

The proof will be in how many able bodies each camp can get to do the heavy lifting.

The next several weeks will be fascinating, for sure.
