Think! If so many are fighting to convince us that Bernie has no chance,

then Bernie sure as Hell does have a chance, and he's scaring some folks.

Do you see anyone trying to convince us that MoM has no chance?

Go Bernie! Go Away Third Way!

The Third Way is alive, well, and in control of the Democratic Party today.
It is an spawn of the conservative DLC, and organization (funded in part by the Koch Brothers) that was abandoned because its"label" became a negative...so, like any cold blooded reptile, it shed its skin, but it is the same snake and the same old sell out people, only now named "The Third Way", or "New Democrats" (old Republicans).

There is plenty of documentation either on Google, or this site that documents the 3rd Way.

Nose rings are used in animal husbandry to control animals. The human, pejorative connotation implies the control of the masses. Reality based communities use it a lot to control reality.

You trying to guess my age and tell me about farming. Okay.

Nose rings aren't used to generically "control animals". They're used only for bulls, and even then only as a supplement to a halter, and then only for shows.

Humans aren't cattle, though. Democrats certainly aren't - as you and the other kiddies on this website who throw around grand insults at Democrats, will find out in less than three months.

The only thing that could do that to them is the fear that queenie-pooh's coronation could be interrupted. And since they're directing ALL of this seething contempt onto one individual (and his followers) it follows that they fear he will be the cause.

Wed Dec 16, 2015, 02:09 AM
Dec 2015

How can they not get this?

It is in the Party's best interest for this primary race to go on as long as possible.

The debates get media coverage, the horse-race gets media coverage, campaign trail reporters get on the buses and follow candidates around hoping to get a story. When that part is over we lose the media platform to balance the Republican horserace.

But let's say that Hillary wins it all February 1st. Bernie and Martin concede or fizzle out.

The media switches their FULL ATTENTION to Republicans and their horse race for over five months. Republicans get their message and their framing out 24/7. They know for sure who their target is. The Republicans throw punches at each other and at Hillary non-stop. They bask in the added attention. They are smug and suck all the oxygen out of the universe.

MOMENTUM GRINDS TO NEARLY A HALT.

Inertia is tough to overcome.

I can't understand this constant drumbeat that the primaries need to be over immediately. Who would that help?

It would only make sense if some people are more scared of Bernie staying in the race than they are of losing momentum.

And it is even bigger than that. The media wouldn't just be focusing on Republican candidates, every issue or question that would be thrown Hillary's way would be a republican policy and she would feel compelled to move to a "sensible middle ground" in order to highlight the craziness of the Republican party.

Of course this would be particularly hellish in the field of foreign policy. Every one of her positions would move to the Third Way website recommendation.

The GOP would define the platform of what is being discussed and that HURTS us. A lot!

I don't care who DUers vote for. I'll be voting for Hillary, because I think she is the person who can win the general election, and I believe that winning that is the overriding goal in 2016.

But, you should vote for whom you prefer, as should everyone on DU and across the country.

The staunch Hillary bunch seems not to get this. We cannot go on with a two party system consisting of a far almost fascist right and a Democratic Party that has sold out to Wall Street and largely to perpetual war and the war machine. And the security state.

We cannot go much further like this. We need another FDR and that is not HRC. We need someone who earns the hate of a Wall Street and like FDR says they welcome that hatred. That is Bernie, not Hillary.
