Hillary Clinton Lays Out Comprehensive Plan To Bolster Homeland Security in Minnesota on December 15, 2015During remarks in Minneapolis Tuesday, Hillary Clinton laid out a 360-degree strategy to keep America safe - a plan for protecting the homeland from terrorist threats, including domestic radicalization. Her plan would seek to counter terrorists from every angle and stop every step in the process that could lead to another San Bernardino, from recruitment to training to planning to attacks.
Its not enough to contain ISIS. We must defeat ISIS. Break its momentum and then its back. And not just ISIS, but the broader radical jihadist movement that also includes al Qaeda and offshoots like al Shabaab in Somalia, Clinton said.
Her homeland security plan is just one element of the three-pronged strategy that she laid out at the Council for Foreign Relations last month for defeating ISIS and combating terrorism globally.
In the wake of the horrific attacks in San Bernardino, Clinton reiterated her call for the nation to come together and show resolve, as the United States has done in the face of so many challenges before.
The threat we face is daunting. But America has overcome big challenges many times before. Throughout our history, we've stared into the face of evil and refused to blink. We beat Fascism, won the Cold War, brought Osama bin Laden to justice. So no one should ever underestimate the determination of the American people. And I am confident we will once again choose resolve over fear. And we will defeat these new enemies, just as we've defeated those who've threatened us in the past. Clinton continued.
Clinton outlined a strategy that counters each step in the process of a potential terrorist attack on the homeland. She called for: redoubling efforts to shut down ISIS recruitment in the United States, especially by denying them virtual territory; cracking down on would-be jihadists from getting training overseas, and stopping foreign terrorists from coming here, in part by strengthening visa security; ensuring we can better discover and disrupt plots before they can be carried out; supporting law enforcement officers who risk their lives to prevent and respond to attacks; and empowering Muslim-American communities on the front-lines of the fight against radicalization.

I can't believe how much her "because terrorism" sounds like RW talking points. And not to mention her "Of course you'll hear all the usual excuses, free speech et cetera". My god!

"especially by denying them virtual territory;"
Translation: spying on innocent citizens and blocking websites someone has decided they don't like what it says.
To poorly quote a great movie line: "U.S. citizenship is hard. It means fighting for the right of someone to say something you would happily spend a lifetime fighting against."
It has nothing to do with what some website says or what some Twitter account or Facebook page says. That is the wrong question. The right question is, why are people listening to them?
Because so many make them feel like outsiders, like second-class citizens. Many of them, like many Americans, are economically and socially oppressed.
This country's income inequality and for-profit justice system have a lot more to do with it than what some stupid website says.
