Poll: Clinton crushing Sanders nationally

Poll: Clinton crushing Sanders nationally

By Jonathan Easley at the Hill

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/polls/263436-poll-clinton-crushing-sanders-nationally

"SNIP............

Monmouth University survey released Wednesday found Clinton with a 33-point lead, taking 59 percent support nationally over Sanders at 26 percent. Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley takes 4 percent support in the poll.

Those results are essentially unchanged from the same poll in October, which found Clinton leading 57–24 in the race for the Democratic nomination.

“Clinton successfully ran the gauntlet this fall, appearing before the Benghazi Committee and outlasting the specter of a Biden candidacy,” said Monmouth pollster Patrick Murray. “She really hasn’t lost ground since then.”

Clinton has maintained a steady double-digit lead in Iowa, raising the stakes for Sanders in New Hampshire. The Vermont senator holds a 5-point lead in the Granite State, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls.

than he ever expected to be and the fact that the MSM does all but ignore him, doesnt help the numbers.

The problem at DU is Hillary has been bashed all day everyday by certain folks, so Hillary supporters have shown some schadenfreude, is that what it is called? Whenever they can say something bad or seemingly bad about Bernie's numbers.

I truly believe the vast majority here who support Hillary, like Bernie, Bernie isnt the problem to most.

If you catch the way I have drifted.

Dec 2015

So 227 out of the 384 people that they selected to take this poll represent a few MILLION voters.
I don't think so.
Used to be, polls had 1000, 2000 or more respondents, and they had a 5% margin of error. I believe these small sample sizes are why in recent times these polls have been wrong.
I don't care WHO the winner is in these polls, the pollsters simply are not doing enough work to get good results.
I suppose that the elections will bear out my belief.

This poll was 2/3rds landlines. I don't know anyone who still uses landlines who is under 60. It is a targeted poll with a desired result and they got it. While the poll states it was sponsored by the University it doesn't say who if anyone paid them to run it.

I also find it funny while most polls are showing a declining result for Clinton the same 2 or 3 come up always showing Clinton with amazingly strong results.

If these polls were accurate Clinton supporters would be crushing Sanders supporters online by a 2 to 1 ratio, she would also have a 2 to 1 audience at her events, but it's not there. If she was drawing more people than Sanders she and the media would be trumpeting it to high heaven.

They will of course express complete astonishment when Sanders takes the nomination. "We don't know how our polls got it so wrong..."

Last but not least at this point in time Barack Obama was lower in the polls than Sanders is now. It's not a done deal as much as Clinton and her supporters would like you to think it is.

I was merely bringing up the point about sample sizes and margins of error.
Each and every poll these days is designed to get the result that the pollster wants to see.
Many do not yet believe this.
It's a pitiful shame.

That is another reason why I love Justin: he has a combination of high energy and a strong work ethic. He is intent on staying real no matter what is on his plate. He walks the walk. He was just off a plane from Paris or something and he had time to stop off at a party. He puts all the squeeling, sniveling, lazy-assed, money hoarding, covetous, tender egoed, rich bozos to shame.
