(3,649 posts)When you get paid $250,000 per speech then I guess $150,000 doesn't seem like a lot of money.

(869 posts)hardly a scandalous amount in this post CU age....as the front runner she gets to tell them their support doesn't buy them anything

(6,960 posts)She has been so far removed from average Americans for so long I doubt she has even the slightest clue to how us everyday Americans live.
What is a $160,000?
Oil and Gas contributions? What contributions?
What is going on in her own campaign?
Don't other minions handle that bookkeeping stuff?
When was the last time she put gasoline in a car?
When was the last time she drove herself anywhere?
Stories like this are going to get worse and worse ... Hillary is going to be like George H. W. Bush and the grocery store scanner.

Ino
(3,366 posts)Having been so poor, she's very mindful of spending, thrifty, humble...
how much Hillary Clinton relied on taxpayer funded private jets during her Senate career (hint: it was a lot)
Just hours after Hillary Clinton unveiled her presidential campaign's push to solve global warming through an aggressive carbon-cutting plan, she sauntered up the steps of a 19-seat private jet in Des Moines, Iowa.

As opposed to that haughty Sanders...

mgmaggiemg
(869 posts)has lead to his national humiliation...now instead of having the honor of losing to the first female prez he will have his nose rubbed in it on election night thanks to his campaign organization....not only will he have to keep apologizing....voters will not vote for his local supporters...and that is sad
Cheers, Maggie
Ino
(3,366 posts)Do you have some basis for saying that?
The honor of losing to the first female prez? LOL, please

Never mind, this is too ridiculous to pursue. Buh-bye.
mgmaggiemg
(869 posts)fire his campaign people for hacking into the dnc computer?
Kentonio
(4,377 posts)Hacking has a very distinct meaning. This had nothing to do with hacking. People just like to use the word because it sounds more dramatic than 'looked at data they shouldn't have looked at, during an unexpected breach in data security'.

(869 posts)it's a huge turn off, the men stuffing words into the mouths of their mothers, grandmothers, sisters, wives, daughters, aunts cousins....saying things their women would never say but silencing them by misrepresenting them....telling them with their fraudulent representations that their vote doesn't count....that misogyny ....Bernie is a great guy....it misrepresents Bernie...but his campaign attracts the misogynist demographic....it's too bad...

(7,865 posts)She doesn't even give straight up opposition to offshore drilling.
She just gives answers like "I am skeptical."
Of course she gives these sort of oppositions to a lot of things.
She considered the keystone pipeline "a distraction from the fight for climate change" and that she opposed it for that reason.
She was against what she had heard some people saying about the TPP that she negotiated for years.
CoffeeCat
(24,411 posts)...when the deal is sealed and her hollow, Ok fellas! I'm against it now!" is completely meaningless, pointless and ineffectual.
Hillary needs to enroll in Elizabeth Warren's, "How to sincerely fight for the American people like you mean it and cut the bullshit" class.

(24,411 posts)...she shined a pretty big spotlight on the fact that she takes so much tainted, corporate bribes--that she can't even keep track of it all.
That's the appearance anyway.
Will be interesting to see how the media handles this.
Vattel
(9,289 posts)but the narrative is too speculative to be a basis for criticism (in my opinion anyways). To me it is more significant that her record includes some really dismally bad votes in favor of things like offshore drilling in 2006, when she voted with republicans and against most democrats (including Obama and Sanders).

(8,976 posts)For posters on this board counting on Social Security that is over a decade of income. So you can imagine how they feel about that amount being brushed off as too petty to even consider. Yeah, how does she do on that poll question "Cares about people like me"?
