Prior to this I would have held my nose and voted for her if that was all there was at the end of the road. But after this shit It's not going to happen. I've had it. You WILL NOT box me in and force me to vote for Clinton or any of your other Corporate stooges based on the lesser of two evils.... The big bad fascist oligarchs or Hillary. It's not going to happen. Understand this.

Pity. America should not have a different set of rules for the 1% than the rest of us.

(5,792 posts)that this has been going on since October with several actions by the Sanders campaign to report to DNC and nothing was done about the OPEN DOOR. Clinton's campaign did not look at Sanders stuff, please. I think they did...no don't have proof but it's obvious because it was conveniently not taken care of two months ago. Hillary is not trusted. You know she was being attacked staring right at the camera when she said it (Bosnia). Untrustworthy. The vendor was in the Clinton camp since 2008 and so is/was DWS. That open door I believe was intentional.

(19,460 posts)Server logs tell all. No logs show that the Clinton campaign ever breach any of Sanders data.

(21,054 posts)...I don't think that HRC and her toddy DWS and the DNC Coronation Committee had any clue at the negativity that is flowing to all three of them. Heavy handed and totally stupid on their part to try this.
Too convenient and too coincidental for people to not see through it completely.

(39,215 posts)supporting Hillary are so out of touch with what people are feeling that they do this crazy shit thinking that we are not watching and do not care.
IF Hillary and her followers really care about the SCOTUS they are the ones who have to get in touch with reality. Everything she, DWS, DNC, and those who endorse her do is a reflection on her character and it is not looking good.
IF she wants Democrats to win then she better make this primary an honest one. The Clinton game of the 90s is not working anymore. She needs to learn a new game.

Has the method of appointment ever been re-examined in Congress? Should it be?
jwirr
(39,215 posts)I see some problems in that when we have a congress that has no intention of appointing anyone no matter what then we are in trouble. As it stands now they could actually refuse to fill a seat if it were empty.
As to changing the system. No matter what we do there would be problems.
I think that either Hillary or Bernie or Martin would do a good job of appointing people we would want but someone has to win first. And what is happening now is infuriating voters. We do not think that anyone is listening.
Ghost Dog
(16,881 posts)"No matter what we do there would be problems." True. But, maybe, SCOTUS term limits?
jwirr
(39,215 posts)be elected every so often. Being elected can take money and as we are seeing can make a candidate beholden to someone.
Right now the age of our judges is quite old and I can see where that could be a problem because of what I said before. If one or more can no longer serve and congress refused to fill the seat our present court could be severely limited in scope.
I know that our local judges are elected and that can be a problem even on the local level.

(21,054 posts)You have to be kidding if you cannot step back and see the big picture. The negatives are going toward Hillary because of what the DNC did to try and hurt Bernie. No doubt on my part that Hillary was involved in this and thought it would hurt Bernie and help her. The results are just the opposite.
Hint: Look at the people involved and the timing.

(4,458 posts)and actually got a live person (not the chair)....and for Once I was allowed to air my grievances with the Dem party without being hung up on. It was a lengthy conversation. This person advised me they'd "been getting quite a few calls regarding this matter" and were going to respond to the DNC. We'll see if that happens.
I called the WH requesting DWS removal. I called the DNC. I called my senator running for re-election. This was the perfect time to pull this crap-right before the debate and while "everyone" is out on Christmas vacation. I will keep trying to talk with people-but I doubt I will get any response until well after the new year.

(41,600 posts)After this Primary election, if Bernie isn't the nominee, I'm changing party affiliation and will never call myself a Democrat again. I'm done. After all the TRUE PROGRESSIVES, Millennials and Independents stop voting Democratic, they'll never win another election again until they join forces with their GOP brethren. That's where they're headed anyway - The RIGHT WING THIRD WAY AND THE GOP - together at last! Enjoy! It's your DREAM COME TRUE!

the democratic party could be headed for it's demise in their effort to cornate clinton.

Also, HRH cannot and WILL NOT win without TRUE PROGRESSIVES, MILLENNIALS AND INDEPENDENTS. It's impossible.

(11,094 posts)Anti-coronation Democrats don`t have to genuflect. We don`t have to incessantly nod when orders come down from on high. We don`t have to support folks like Rahm Emanuel, Al From, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and other DLC types. We don`t have to favor image makers or wait for focus group results before we make a decision. We don`t have to parse every sentence or follow every directive.
We`re not ashamed of being issues voters or for taking a different path. And, many of us remember all the postings here at DU when George W. Bush followers simply nodded and never asked questions.
Not all of us are pro-dynasty Democrats.

AIN'T HAPPENIN'
THe sad truth is that today's Democratic Party is the Republican Party of 40-50 years ago. The only reason some don't notice it is that the fascist insane clown posse on the right has pushed the scale so far to the right that the 'center' is off the 1970 scale.

(3,967 posts)DNC has overreacted by taking away access to the voter list, but that can be restored. We do not want to split the progressive wing from the moderate wing of the Democratic party and as a result have two weaker parties.
