2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumDon't you just love the "Give 'em enough rope" strategy?
It's truly magical. Sit back and let your opponent do all the work for you. DWS got Bernie more publicity than he's seen the entire campaign, disgusted Hillary supporters are jumping ship to the Sanders camp, and Hillary's reputation for dishonesty just grew exponentially.
Personally, I think we should keep DWS. She's worked wonders for the Sanders campaign.

Although your point is taken about DWS, can't agree with you there. DWS being handed her walking papers would be another HUGE feather in Sanders's cap.

(45,251 posts)However, I perversely would rather have a Party that is on the up and up than win.
If DU has taught me anything this primary season, it's that putting winning above honesty, decency, and other values and principles is very ugly in my estimation.
As corny (and self-defeating) as it may sound, I would rather be true to myself. I know I have survived my candidate's losing a primary or an election because I have experiences that before and survived. I have never lost myself and therefore don't know if I can survive that. I'm too risk averse to take that huge a chance.

Oh! and dancing, I have heard that no revolution is worth having if there is to be no dancing involved!

(27,813 posts)Do you have the stats on that? Can you provide a link that shows the numbers of how many HRC supporters have jumped ship to the Sanders's campaign?
I wouldn't want to think you were just makin' shit up without having the evidence to support it.

(27,813 posts)I'm just asking Le Taz to provide the proof of her statements.
I'm sure she has those facts at-the-ready - or she wouldn't have made those statements in the first place.

(45,251 posts)They're transparent and not deep enough to require explication, but I do appreciate your willingness to educate me. Thanks!

(27,813 posts)... to ask a poster for links to back-up a statement they've made as being factual.
If Le Taz doesn't have any facts to prove her assertion, she is perfectly capable of saying so.

The DNC is all in on Clinton - I hope that simple fact comes across tomorrow.

(45,251 posts)relieving itself in the woods without media coverage. MSM was sure all over the "Bernie campaign did something bad with Hillary's data" myth. The stories and press conferences were proliferating so quickly yesterday, I could not have kept up with them, even if I had devoted my entire day to the effort.
Has msm ever reported the DNC's blatant actions vis a vis HRC with that degree of fanfare, speed and coverage?

Le Taz Hot
(22,271 posts)She fucked this up so monumentally the Big Boys are going to HAVE to get rid of her, otherwise, this stays with the party and will be used in the GE. IF they change Chairs and IF Bernie wins the nomination, the DNC MAY have a chance of surviving. Barring that, she and the DNC are done.
