Hillary Clinton camp to Donald Trump: 'Hell no' on apology

Washington (CNN)Hillary Clinton will not apologize to Donald Trump for saying that his comments disparaging Muslims were being used in ISIS videos to recruit terrorists.

"Hell no. Hillary Clinton will not be apologizing to Donald Trump for correctly pointing out how his hateful rhetoric only helps ISIS recruit more terrorists," Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon said Monday afternoon.

Earlier Monday, Trump demanded that Clinton apologize to him for her comment.

"I will demand an apology from Hillary," Trump said Monday on NBC's "The Today Show." "I will demand an apology from Hillary, she should apologize. She lies about emails, she lies about Whitewater, she lies about everything. She will be a disaster as President of the United States."

Clinton made the claim during Saturday night's Democratic debate, but a spokeswoman later said they did not have a specific video of ISIS using clips of Trump disparaging Muslims, but instead pointed to social media comments from ISIS recruiters. CNN's Reality Check Team also found there was nothing to support Clinton's claim of an ISIS video showing Trump.

Keep your purity judgments...and your entry/exit doorman position to the Democratic Party to yourself. Hillary talks out of all sides of her mouth...and everyone knows it. Much of it is on video. It's not pretty.

Kind of like the Bernie debacle, the quicker you admit it, you can move on and not get stuck. And many Real Democrats share my opinion. Are we starting the PUMAs again?

I respect your right to believe what you do and to feel the way you do. 'Nuff said.

He is maintaining his federal lawsuit against the DNC even though he had his access restored just one day after it was blocked for his campaign stealing data. Then at the debate he feeds a conspiracy theory, apparently for no other reason than deflection, suggesting that his data was accessed as well--even though audits show only ONE campaign breached the firewall: Bernie's.

This has nothing to do with PUMAs. Why did you jump to be the first to shit on this thread rather than supporting a Dem calling out Donald Trump's racist bullshit? Is your hate for Hillary so deep that you are willing to defend Trump?

Check out my sig line and stop with the crap...I don't "hate" any Democratic candidate or Republican for that matter. That's not how I roll. I think Trump is a carnival barker and he's loud and uncouth and will flame out. The Republicans are surely embarrassed. I think HRC and the DNC have A Lot of issues that are starting to be, frankly, also embarrassing.

Bernie is absolutely right to make sure the IT company, owned by HRCs folk, is working right. Nothing was done the first time they called it, and the second time, they listened...and overreacted. Bernie fired the person and suspended two others. Yes, it's over...really. Bernie didn't do it himself.

So what did HRC do when DWS violated her own rules? Crickets.

I can only go by what you say in your post.

And yes, you are attacking Hillary and defending Trump. In the same post. You smear Hillary by saying she "speaks out of both sides of her mouth" but defend Trump, asserting what he says "is not exactly untrue."

For example her use of " skin in the game" is Christies trademark phrase and her reminding us that George Bush spoke out against Muslim hatred after 911. I am beginning to believe she is just losing it mentally and cannot, or actually does, remember who she supports and that is the same oligarchy as the republicans support. Bernie is the candidate for democracy- Hillary is the candidate of the oligarchy wishing to maintain soft fascism to prevent a revolution.

Yea, that station. They show videos of Trump constantly to the Muslim world. Anything out of the mouth of Trump is either racist or a lie. You can stop defending him anytime.

NBC News, Dec 8, 2015 (well before last Saturday's debate)

Donald Trump's Muslim Bashing Aids Cause of Terror Networks, Say Experts

Donald Trump's call for closing America's door to Muslims is opening a window of opportunity for groups like ISIS, counter-terrorism experts and human rights advocates say.

The Republican presidential candidate's controversial proposal for barring all Muslims from entering the United States is being used by the head-chopping fanatics and other terrorist groups like al Qaeda to attract recruits by painting the land of the free as opposed to Islam, experts told NBC News on Tuesday.

"Trump's incendiary anti-Muslim comments will surely be used by ISIS social media to demonize the United States and attract recruits to fight in Iraq and Syria," Phillips added. "His comments may also stir debate in countries with large Muslim populations about joining a U.S.-led" drive against ISIS.

Nobody has been more critical of Trump's anti-Muslim broadsides than the Council on American-Islamic Relations, an advocacy group.

"We firmly believe that Donald Trump is doing the work of ISIS," said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper.

It's, almost, as if people (including a segment of DU) think ISIS ... the group that has been posting beheadings ... doesn't have access to cable TV and the Internet.

Strange.

She said something that is not accurate and will never admit it. That is not something to be praised. It shows a lack of character that is shameful, at best. Just because it is Trump that she is talking about does not excuse it. This is the same attitude that brought us "Snipergate" and just proves that she is still capable of the same kind of mistakes that she made 8 years ago.

Situational ethics are unethical. She should not be our nominee.

Lawrence O'Donnell explained it better than I can.

What she said wasn't true. The fact that it is about Trump should not matter.

Is pointing out that there were no WMD in Iraq being on Saddam Hussein's side? If so, then I guess that 19 minute speech she made helping to convince others to vote in favor of that war was the right thing to do.

If it is acceptable to make untrue statements about Trump then why not Saddam? Or Gaddafi? How about Assad or Putin or anyone else that happens to be in her way at the time?

Once you cross that line there is no turning back. Hillary should not be our nominee. This incident just proves what people have been saying about her all along. She will say or do anything to get elected.
